I got some cards done! I did 6 sympathy cards. Four of them go to my former boss for her stash and I'm keeping 2 of them for mine. I kept them pretty simple.

I'm done with cards I need for August. Now I can start building up my stash. Or start on my cards for September. Or catch up on Christmas cards. So many choices.

I've been making cards, just haven't had time to post. The other day I took 3 cards that had been given to me and remade them for the Card Ministry. I won't post them because they are 90% not my work.

I did manage to combine two of this week's challenges to make

I think I finally caught up with editing and uploading cards made so far in August. I did send another 2 birthday cards from my stash of recent challenge cards uploaded previously. I've got 3 more birthday cards, a couple of get well cards, and some cards for my S.S. class to sign for sick or homebound class members.

I just copied off all the challenges from Flourishes and Vere's blogs for their anniversaries. Hope to have time this weekend to get some challenges completed. Maybe win some prizes?!!

Dianne, the images on my sympathy cards aren't digis. I stamped the flower with Versamark. The stamp is a bacground stampe from SU.

That would be fun, Dianne. Then we could both make our stashes much bigger. I finally did give my Cameo a rest, though. Haven't used it since I finished that book. I'm sure it misses me.

I made 12 of this Christmas using LulyG's sketch challenge. I am in love with this sketch. I am also caught up with my Christmas cards for CCC12. All the white spaces that show up in the picture are actually closer to very vanilla. Just couldn't get the camera to take true colors.

This is the first year I've had a stash, I usually just make them as I need them, I would love to have a stall at our local fayre but lack the confidence to go for it, not really to make money, can just imagine the comment if I said that to my DH!! I just love crafting and I would get much more use out of the dies and stuff I have.

Hey, guess what girls... I'm caught up! Time for food, meds and a pillow again. Keep crafting!

We had a wonderful time! They were only at my place for three days, but I think they got lots accomplished! I picked them up at Stephanie's brother's house in Toronto on Thursday evening, on Friday morning we went off to Kortright Waterfowl Park, which Stephanie had been to when she attended university in Guelph. After looking for a long time, we decided it was no longer open for visitors, and we took a walk in the woods beside the perimeter. Got back to the car just before the downpour! To make up for the 'no visit' we went off in search of the birds of prey sanctuary and had a wonderful time looking at the owls, hawks, falcons and kestrils. Then went out for a late lunch. I had volunteered to help with parking at our local Scottish Festival from 4-8 p.m. so I gave my car to them for that time. I forgot that Aussies drive on the opposite side of the road from us and apparently S's DH started out driving on the wrong side, but he corrected that soon enough! They came to the Scottish Festival (used to be called the Fergus Highland Games) later and we listened to the marching bands playing, but got caught in a downpour. The entertainment continued in the rain so we stayed.
Saturday, we went to the outdoor Farmer's Market. They stayed in that area to go for a horse drawn buggy ride through the maple sugar bush, and do some outlet mall shopping and also visit St. Jacobs (a Mennonite town) while I went to a family reunion (a two hour drive away). On Sunday, after church, we went to Elora Gorge Park for a hike and saw lots of people tubing down the river. Then they packed up and I drove them back to Toronto. Boy was my house ever lonesome and quiet the next day! I just enjoyed their visit so much!
I did take photos, but I did not format them for uploading to computer and I have slow dial up connection, so I can't upload them. I'll have to get them developed and scan them.

Jan, just go for it! I know you can do it. Everyone loves hand made cards! My SIL used to have a box of her photo cards at work and there was a steady stream of customers wanting cards!

Ina, it sounds like you had so much fun while they were there! I know what you mean about how empty the house is after they leave! That is the way it is after our daughter and family (5 in all) leave after Christmas.

So glad you had that time with them.

before i broke my laptop I could just change how i sit or stand lean or whatever.. but my desk seems so high now! LOL

I did get all my August cards made - except for my 8 Christmas cards (CCC12). I just haven't had time to upload anything in awhile. August sure went by quickly.
