Kathy, my DH does a lot of the cooking and the grocery shopping.  We split other things.  Like I put dishes in dishwasher and run it.  He usually puts them up.  I take sheets off the bed, he washes and dries them, then I put them back on the bed. He does the towels.  We each do our own loads of clothes. It gives him something to do.

My DH and I laughed at the 2020 email, Gracie.  Thanks for sharing!  So true!
Earthquakes, we had another 2.6 one today, about a mile from us again.

Last night a scientist said they aren’t big enough to do damage and not unusual because we are on a fault right here East of Wichita.

Tried to add a photo, but here is link

Kathy....are you still here? Do we need to start a GoFundMe for your legal defense fees? What channel should I tune in to see the news coverage?

Shelly, I wondered how known marionberries were. Here is info on marionberries from Wikipedia: The marionberry is a cultivar of blackberry developed by the USDA ARS breeding program in cooperation with Oregon State University. A cross between the 'Chehalem' and 'Olallie' varieties, it is the most common form of blackberry cultivated. It accounts for over half of all blackberries produced in Oregon.

Kathy, I'm glad you are planning ahead on things to keep your DH busy! What a great idea. I'm not sure what my DH is going to be like when he retires.

Sharon, it sounds like you have a good system set up with your DH for chores.

I still haven't solved my issue at work and I'm running out of time. Wouldn't you know, when I'm under a time crunch, I have extra requests for my assistance. Murphy is busy!

We share jobs too, apart from the outside ones, steve cooks and I wash the dishes and clean, I clean the log fire while steve brings in logs and takes out ash etc, I wash and hang out clothes but he always helps me put the duvet cover on, much easier than struggling, he sometimes even talks me into polishing the car, I have to be Very bored to agree to that.
I go into the supermarket, he always laughs at me as every time I come out and complain about some idiot, yesterday he said he would wait at the butchers counter to order a turkey, I had shopped, paid and was waiting ten minutes before he came out, there was only one lady in front of him who was buying up everything! He now knows why I complain!

Gracie, I hope you head is better today, no headaches!!

Kandie, how are you feeling?

Hugs to all, off to get wash going and take care of the doggies!!

Good morning, I’m glad to be back on here.  That bronchitis really took me down.

Jayne, I am keeping you and your DH in constant thought and prayer.

Gracie, concussion headaches seem to last such a long time.  I sure hope they clear up soon.

And also, Gracie, THANKS for the chuckles!  They were well needed.

I saw a picture on Facebook of a very large marijuana plant being used as a Christmas tree.  The caption said once the tree is lit you will see Santa Claus, elves, the Wise Men, reindeer, the 7 dwarfs.....

Ann, yes, I had to go to Michaels and buy another storage unit on wheels just for JJ stuff.  I now have 2 desks, one narrow upright wall unit, a vintage dresser, a table and chair, a vintage armoire, a storage unit with baskets for drawers, three wall-hanging racks, a spinning magazine rack, and 7 white metal storage units on wheels.  I may have to lose weight just to get into the room!!!  What’s true is that I get into all of them for something nearly every day!!!  So crazy!

I’m working on another journal, this one I bought a tutorial for on Etsy.  Every page is designed.  It was $10 for the 77 pages of instructions and photos, but I will be able to use them over and over.

Chipboard covers this time.  I was a little nervous with the Xacto (sp) knife, but it was easier than I thought it would be to cut.  Only the outside, and one inside cover done so far, but I am enjoying working on it.

DH has torn apart an old sewing machine stand with the metal base, and is remaking it into the coolest desk.  I wish I could keep it!  No room, no room!!!

Have a safe day, ladies.

Sharon and Shelly, I have received the most precious cards from you!  Thank you, everyone, so much for continuing this tradition (and those who post one card on here with greetings to all!) it’s so wonderful.  My own family and DH’s as well never send cards anymore.  I am so grateful for all of you and the blessings I continuously receive from knowing everyone.  Thank you all.

Gorgeous, Kandie.  I think we all need warehouses for our crafting.  One room dedicated to each craft.

I went to the hospital the other day to deliver about 150 crocheted snowflake/star ornaments.  So different... had my temp taken, then had to wait, so they could figure out how to deal with them.  I think the girls at the desk were floored that someone would do that.  She had to call at least 3 people to figure out what to do.  I made DH go with me, so he was 'patiently waiting' the whole time.  I know it wasn't much, but it felt good to do.

Good morning! It is sunny here but I think rain is in the forecast...hopefully.

So glad you don't need a lawyer, Kathy.

Kandie, your journal is beautiful. I'm glad you are doing better. I really need to pare down the crafting stuff I have especially since it is the living/dining room. I need to keep it tidy. What I need to do is use up my patterned paper. That would free up storage space and I don't use it as much now.

What a lovely blessing, Melody. I love crocheted snowflake ornaments.

Well, must run. I really MUST solve this problem at work today.

Catherine, good luck on solving your work problem today! Crossing my fingers and toes.

Kathy, glad the FBI didn't raid your home! LOL I got a call the other day that I had a package seized by Border Control because it contained illegal drugs! I was to call a number immediately or face arrest! Crazy!

Kandie, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. I love it...we all need more and more storage for our growing stash of craft supplies! I really need to stop buying, but with Covid...I feel like I need to "treat" myself now and then! I should just shop in my own craft room and use things I've already bought!!! New motto: Shop at HOME!

Melody what a wonderful gift! Wow! That's a lot of crocheted snowflakes. They probably have to quarantine them for 10 days before giving them to staff or patients. It is a weird year.

Ann, glad to hear you have gotten some mojo back.

Speaking of which, I need to get off this computer and get in my craft room!

I went up to check on Mom and Dad. Mom sounds a bit hoarse but I think it's sinus related. she said she didn't need anything but that next time I got out she might send for some pork chops. I happen to have bought a big pack of those and sealed them separate with my FoodSaver so I was able to give her a pack of three. dad is up and down through the night so much and Mom is not getting much sleep yet she won't let anyone sit with him because she thinks she's the only one that knows how to help him. I may talk to my sister and see if she will come out with Mom for a day. My sister is an LPN. She is very good with stuff like that. I'm more the type who digs in and does work. I burned my trash and took recycling outside. I really need a project to keep me busy. I'm having a bit of anxiety today with no apparent reason. DH isgoing to the cabin after work. He took tomorrow off to hunt. He only has about 8 days of work left.

I was just watching our governor with a long update. Basically, we are not allowed to be inside with groups larger than 10, outdoors groups of 50. Noindoor dining. Take out only. No sporting events and only 50% occupancy in stores. This goes from Dec 12-Jan 4.

Kathy, any protests yet over this order by your governor?

It's ridiculous the amount of people that still do not believe the virus is out there!

Ann, I am going to vent right along with you.  The other day there was a woman on the news, and the reporter asked her why she was not wearing a mask. She said covid is not real. I still cannot get over this remark.

No protests as of yet. I think people will use any excuse to do what they want. I'm actually beginning to like wearing it! It keeps my face warm when I go out.

It's not real? Millions have had it and many have died. Pretty big numbers for something that's not real! They also used to say it would all go away after the election! Hasn't gone away yet. Oh I pray for our country.

I agree.  How can anyone think it is not real.

I got an email from a lady at the hospital who is deciding who would get the snowflakes.  This is a quote: "Right now, our
ICU nurses spend quite a bit of time with the Covid-19 patients,
yet they aren’t able to help many of them (they don’t recover).  So they
are dealing with a high level of loss, and the emotional strain on them
is great. "

Kathy, my mom was like your mom with my Dad. Of course, my dad never wanted her to leave him. If she went to the hairdresser or shopping, dad would pace and keep asking where mom was. He had Alzheimers and passed away 5 yrs. ago. She still talks about him every day. So hard to watch our aging parents. Hugs.

Thanks Ann for updating the list! HUGS!

Hello to all! Working on Christmas cards. I've received cards from many of you! Thanks so much for bringing Christmas cheer to my home! I'm sending them out tomorrow and Saturday! Hopefully, I can get them all done!

Gracie, your crossed fingers and toes did the trick. I found the problem and resolved it...finally and thankfully.

Goodness, what are you buying, Gracie? Illegal drugs?! My mom and her snowbird friends would go into Mexico to buy their prescription drugs for a fraction of the price. Technically, those were illegal even though it was the same drug that they would get here.

Hey, they could run the crochet snowflakes through one of their many sterilizers so they wouldn't have to be quarantined.

Kathy, do you think your sister can talk your mom into letting someone else sit with your dad? She needs her rest in order to stay healthy (which I'm sure you already know).

Gracie, hope your headaches have gone away.

Thank you, Ann, for the updated list.

And, yup, "Gracie, the Drug Runner!" Crazy people...do they really think we are that stupid to call them and give them money!

Seriously though it’s scary as some people really fall for these scams. The pharmacy here always tell me to take Steve’s prescription when we travel to prove they are all for him as we have a large bag full of meds when we go away for three months!

Melody that’s was a kind thing to do, so much work too.

Shirl, I’m with you about people denying the virus exits when so many have died.
A news reader for sky news has been aggressively berating  a politician who drove out of his zone to take his autistic son to stay with family in case he caught it and they couldn’t look after him, she called for him to resign, she’s been caught having a party for her sixtieth birthday, photos of her hugging and kissing etc, she’s not resigned though, they’ve took her off for six months on full pay, everyone is really annoyed about her not being sacked

Morning!

One change to note for the crew list: Karen S.'s email is all lower case, so please change the first letter!  Thank you!  Won't send out another new one for that change.

We are in for a winter storm, so maybe I'll get crafting done!  It's gloomy here today!

How's everyone doing this moring?

This made me smile. I don't watch all of their videos because some are just weird, but I loved this. You might also like their videos about Christmas movies on Hallmark.

Ann, I'm pretty sure on an email, it doesn't matter if you type upper or lower case, but thanks for the updates.

Well it’s dark here but they are still working on the roof for the BBQ, when they went to collect the roof materials it hadn’t arrived so they went an hours drive to Murcia to buy some so they didn’t start until mid day, they are just fitting he side panels, I’m so pleased as it’s looking pretty good. Unfortunately we will have to wait for the new garden furniture until spring as no one is selling it now!

Good morning! It is my day to stay home and work on house work and grading. I've got a load in the washer already but decided to check in to see what everyone is up to.

DD1 has already worked her shift and bought the groceries so she should be headed home now. I didn't sleep well and already know that she is bringing me coffee from her store on her way home. What a sweet girl!

Oh no, not cramps, Gracie! lol

Jan, someone might wonder if they happened across the thread!

And don't get me started on politicians who are the "do as I say, not as I do" or "I make the rules for you but I do what I want." Grrrr!

Jan, roofing in the dark? How nice it will be to have that done though. Speaking of waiting for furniture, it has been one week since we ordered our seating....5-7 weeks to go! lol
