Had my boobs pressed and wasn't too bad this time....the lady was very informative about changes in the boobs....fascinating. A friend joined me and we went to the cafe next door for brunch...just got home and found I had some happy mail waiting for me. Whoohoo....I got Sharon's gorgeous butterfly card and it is even more gorgeous IRL. Thank you so much Sharon and for the goodies...I was so spoilt. You are naughty...love it all.
I'm about to head out again and collect son3 from work and then grocery shop and finally come back and play with my panels. Ina on S2S did a gorgeous card similar to what I was going to do...I think we have been watching the same videos LOL, so I will now have to rethink but I have something slightly different to use...watch this space, and will see if I can fit my cards into some alpha challenges or others.

Hi Jayne! I should be in bed but stayed up finishing several cards for the sketch challenge and teapot challenge - the cards are for both challenges. Now it is midnight and I'm still up and have to go to work tomorrow!
I'm up early. I see the eye doctor at 8:15. Normally I would have taken the 1:30 appt. But I figured I could get down and back before 10:00 a.m. I need to stop to pay mom and dad taxes and pick up a couple of things at walmart.

Kathy, I get those floaters and squiggly lines also but have never had one right in the middle. How aggravating!!! I hope your doctor appointment went well and nothing is wrong.
Melody, what an absolutely gorgeous double rainbow!!!
I started early yesterday and did get all the windows and screens on the back porch scrubbed and put back in. The gutters or whatever the bottom wells of the windows were so full of leaves and dead bugs that I had to use a screwdriver to get all the crud out. It all took hours and the sweat just poured off. Then I stood back and admired how nice everything looked, so clean and clear, but then, ping ping ping on the metal roof, and then it POURED!!! With the sun still out! And I yelled NOOOOOOOOOO!! :(. :(. :(. At least it was easy to go back outside and wipe the windows off.
And then I heard it thunder and pour overnight. Grrrrrrr
DH was standing in the back porch looking around when I got up this morning. He came back into the kitchen and gave me a huge hug. He’s getting motivated to repair things now that the back porch is looking nice. He didn’t even cringe when I told him my next project is to paint the ugly ugly deck! That is a huge wowser because he is not a man who likes change.
We are going for a short drive to visit his SIL and DB today. I’m hoping to wear a lovely chiffon pale yellow skirt that DH bought me recently. Only expected to get to 88 today.

Sistahs I know I havnt been on much lately just a fly by here and there .
I have bad news and ask for prayers for my Ohana especially my GS and Des !! Tho we are all heartbroken at such a lost . We lost Nitro . I feel so heartbroken !! He was a 100+ pounds Pit bull and huge and just people looked and him was sacred off but he was the most gentle and loving soul I've ever seen in a dog I've ever known. Such a devastating lost especially to my GS whom lived much of his life 24/7 outside lately with Nitro monitoring caregiving and even wake at 11pm to give Nitro his 11pm meds which he was on meds 3 times a day.....
Just wanted to let you all know and ask for prayers for my Ohana for this is just a huge lost !!! We all feel like we have lost a child and with him he took a piece of my heart. And I never heard Mitch cry like a baby not even when he went through his dilemma such a deep devastation to us all

The chipmunks have had the last laugh today. While I was sleeping peacefully and smiling, they were busy digging an alternative route - right up through a drain hole in DH’s garage. I heard him yell get out of here, you little $#%&!!! Apparently one popped out as he was walking into the garage from the kitchen and ran past him!

Kandie, I do not use live traps for chipmunks and gophers. They are just too destructive. My dad used to use a slingshot for chipmunks, and he was a really good shot.
I got home about two hours ago but still can't see clearly so I'm just now getting online. I've never had such an extensive eye exam as today. My regular eye doc looked at my eyes for about twenty minute's straight. After she finished, she said she wanted the other doc to take a look. I guess the gel sac on this eye has begun to detach like the other side. She saw some blood in the back and that's why she called the other doc in. He says it could just be from the detachment. He wants to look at it again in two weeks so I will see him again then. Right now I'm having trouble seeing. It looks like I'm looking through frosted glass. That has never happened before. I THINK its clearing up, but if not, I will check in with them before closing time. The girl who initially did my sight exam and pressure test must be new because went out and brought in another worker and she had trouble getting my pressures and I could feel the machine touch my eye at least three times. That has never happened before either. The other worker took my pressures then. She said she was just double checking, but I think she knew things weren't right. I'll check back in as my eyes clear.
Good morning! It is lovely - and strange - to have the windows open with a lovely, cool breeze blowing gently in at 9:30 am on July 3rd! I usually have the house shut up tightly by this time of day at this time of year. Thankful and enjoying it.
I uploaded four cards this morning which put me behind as it always takes longer than I think it should!
DD2 is excited to be staying her best friend's house tomorrow night and Friday night. It will be just her and one of their extremely energetic dogs. She is dog sitting for them and getting paid. She is thrilled. I will miss her.

Kandie! What fun to see your faces, thank you! Those doggone chipmunks! What a battle. And what nice encouragement from your DH for all your hard work on your back porch.
Kathy, I sure hope your eye clears up before closing. Would this be a good time to relax and take a nap?
Melody, DH said he’s a much better shot with his gun as well, but he didn’t think the neighbors would like the noise! I would have liked to see your dad use his slingshot.
Lunch was okay, not as good as usual. DH’s DB and sister-in-law were pretty quiet, her doctor diagnosed her with some possible cancerous spots on her bladder - for the 5th year in a row, and she was upset and tired of it.
To top it off, someone apparently backed into our car in the parking lot and left a nice scrape on the rear quarter, and DH says it has ruined his whole day. It can be buffed out, I’m sure, but it’s the fact that we’ve made it 1 1/2 years without the tiniest spot that upset him.
But I did talk DH into taking me to a DQ for a peanut buster parfait, so I’m fine.
I was trying to get a photo of this skirt but the car ride is bumpy, and I got part of my shawl and shoe too. But isn’t the lemon yellow color a pretty shade this year?

Kandie, my dad always had a slingshot and stones in his pocket. He made his own slingshots. I probably still have one around somewhere, but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to hit anything with it.

My boss is now on vacation for three weeks. Life should be interesting over the next few weeks. However, I am done with work for this week as tomorrow is a holiday and I don't work at the office on Fridays. Yay!

Good evening everyone! I'm back from my physical and a visit with my mom! I guess I'm pretty healthy for an old lady! Mom and I played cards with my cousin Sandy. It was a fun day. (No sister there, LOL.)

Happy Independence Day to my American friends on this thread..Enjoy your potlucks and anything else you do today. Hubby says we have fond memories of learning about your history from Boston to Philadelphia a few years ago. Loved our trip and that was the year we headed up to Quebec and took a cruise down the east coast...and guess who else was on that cruise...but we hadn’t met online yet. Kathy...can you not go to emergency and have your eyes checked? A friend recently had blurred vision and took himself to emergency and was whisked in for surgery as he had a detached retina. Take care and I would be getting a second opinion as the other worker may have done more harm. Your comment about David had me rofl...I spat my coffee out lol. You are so funny. Slingshots remind me of growing up and my brother....you had to be careful as one of those could take your eye out.

I didn’t get to my panels. I spent the arvo putting a package together for another friend on another thread and want to get it mailed today. The storm has just started so hubby doesn’t want me driving in it but I had to ring our local craft shop as I now want to lift some of my panels...and I need the ink. They have it..yay. It could be dangerous going....storm and shopping lol....but as I can’t play golf today I can play. I also tidied up my table yesterday.
I bought a 5 drawer caddy so I now have my cs, panels, copy paper and scraps all separated instead of sitting on my table in a mess. I ran out of Neenah CS that I had purchased from amazon so I went onto amazon Australia and it was $123 for one ream and only costs $7.14 in the states. I shopped around and even with shipping from the states it was only going to cost me $51 so I ordered it from the states. I really don’t know how Australian companies can charge so much as they will pay the same to bring it in. My whinge for the day.

We just got back from the fireworks show at the small town we live near. I love that they have them July 3rd - fabulous! And did I mention that it is a small town? The fireworks were wonderful and it was easy in and easy out, no traffic jam. Hurray! My brother and sister-in-law were there and we sat with them.

DD1 has to open at Starbucks in the morning and DD2 goes to her dog sitting job tomorrow too but I think we'll try to go to another fireworks display tomorrow night.

Jayne, how ironic to find that you and Sharon were on the same cruise before you knew each other online! Where do you find a ream of Neenah cs for $7.14? I have looked and haven't found anything reasonable in my opinion.
Catherine it’s on Amazon.com. I’ve just checked and it’s still showing...250 sheets and 110lb. The total was just over $51 and that was mainly shipping to Oz. They had a special on another ream which I think was thicker at just over $12. Happy shopping.
I spent a couple of hours playing with my panels. It certainly was a success as some videos showed. I need more practice lol.

Jayne, DH was able to buff out the scratch and now it’s not visible at all. But he was still bent out of shape. Even a DQ cone didn’t mellow him, lol.
Speaking of DH, he is grumbling at every news story this morning. I’m about ready to throw him in the bedroom saying, come back out when you can get up on the RIGHT side of the bed! (In other words, it’s not even 8 yet and he’s already annoying the tar out of me!)
I think I’ll escape to the back porch and finish painting the last two windows. Or I could go shopping somewhere that’s open today. Yeah, that’s it, I’ll go spend money, lol.
Omgosh my shoulders are killing me from washing all those windows! Terrible time trying to get comfortable last night in bed. I already feel a nap coming on later today.
