Weekly Musical Challenge - 7 - You could be the recipient of these cards.
Thank you so much to those of you that sent out cards to Stephanie so she could send them to her husband and his battalion. This is going to stay an open challenge which means feel free to send Stephanie cards whenever you have a free moment. Again thank you for playing.
Woo Hoo It's Saturday which means time for a new song. Are ya'll ready?? Here we go.
This week's musical challenge song is (you may listen to it by clicking on the song title): Raymondby Brett Eldredge

If you are new to the challenge this is how it works. Each week I choose a song. I then ask you to make a card that is inspired by the chosen song. Then post your card here in the forum and we can chat about it. Normally I ask you to consider sending your card to a chosen recipient. However; starting this week the recipient of the cards could be you. I am going to put all players name's in a hat and draw one. Whose ever name is pulled from the hat will be the recipient of the cards. Therefore I will ask you to consider sending your card to that person.
Remember it is not mandatory that you send your card out.
Also, please remember in order to have your name put in the hat for the drawing to be the recipient of these wonderful music inspired cards you MUST post your card in the forum.
oooh I'm eager to see what people come up with. This is an awesome song. And I think people are liking the fact that one of you players is going to be the recipient. Hmmm wonder if I should keep it this way. What do you think??

Wow ladies, someone is going to be the lucky winner of alot of beautiful cards. I have a couple of things: #1 someone asked me if I was putting my name in the hat....No I am not. I want this to be about ya'll. #2. I have someone that made 2 cards for this challenge. Does everyone feel her name should be entered twice??? I want your opinions because I want to be fair. Thank you so much for playing. I hope we get even more players. I am thinking ya'll like the idea of drawing names to see who gets to be the recipient of the cards. Here is another question about that.....do you feel a person should be able to win two weeks in a row?? Again...I would truely like your opinions. I want this to be a fun challenge and a fair one too. So please be honest and share your thoughts with me. If you do not want to share them here in the forum...please pm me.
I feel like it would be fair to enter someone's name into the hat multiple times if they make multiple cards. I also think it would be fair for someone to win two weeks in a row if they played two weeks in a row. That's my opinion on the matter anyway.

I think it's totally fair that someone be able to win two weeks in a row, however, after the second time winning, their name should not be put back in the hat for a while (dependent on how many names are in the hat) to give others the chance to win the cards If someone is gonna step up to the challenge and make several cards, I think it shows that they really care enough to make a difference for someone else. I know what a great surprise a handmade card received in the mail can mean...I know that when the mail comes I am so excited when I receive a card.
I also think that if your recipient is using the cards for a noble cause, it gives more of an incentive for others to find a noble cause as well, whether it is making cards for someone else, or collecting them for donation to a cause, any cause, other than simply their own personal gain, it is fair that they are able to win twice in a row.
Because of this challenge, I have almost an entire box of cards almost ready for shipment over to Iraq as soon as it's full, I'm sure there are more cards on their way .
I am so grateful for the generosity of not only the ladies in this forum, but on this site. The response has been amazing and I am hoping I can attempt to keep up with the demand for cards over there for the next six months, I feel that this is an outstanding start, and I have asked all my stamper friends to make donations. I have looked at every single card that I have received so far, and let me tell you, there are some really really gorgeous cards! I feel blessed not only to receive these on behalf of my husband and his battalion, but to be amongst such amazing talent here on Splitcoast!
So Dani! POST THAT NEXT RECIPIENT!!!!!!!!! And let's play again!!!!!!! Let's get this show on the road! I'm ready to play and make someone's day!

Dani, whatever decision you and our challenge friends decide with regard to particulars is fine with me. Should I win, they will be donated to a cause, be it Steph's Troop Support, Mothermark's Cards for a Cause, etc. They will definitely move on to a better home!

Okay....here's the decision. If you enter more than one card to the week's challeng (before I post the next one) Your name will go into the hat for each card entered to the challenge. So mother's daughter your name will be entered twice. As far as someone winning two weeks in a row. I am going to say it is ok to win two weeks in a row. However, if your name is pulled for a third time in a row..I will redraw. I want everyone to have a turn at being the receiver. I believe ya'll pretty much said you felt the same way. Correct me if I am wrong tho. No, my name will not go in the drawing. As far as what the winner does with the cards. That is totally up to you. If your name is drawn and you want the cards to go somewhere spacific I will ask that you send me the address so that I can post it and ask everyone to please send their cards there. Of course you have the option of having them sent to you and then if you want to send them on to somewhere else that is fine too. There will not be any rules on what the winner has to do with the cards. Does anyone have any suggestions on makeing this challenge a fun one? Does anyone have any questions?
I forgot one more rule:You MUST post your card to the weekly musical forum to have your name put in for the drawing.
People were asking where the gallery is for the Weekly Musical Challenge. I finally found it. When I took a peek I found cards by people that did not post their card here in the forum. So please if you want to be entered into the drawing to be the receiver of this weeks cards..please post your card in the forum.
Please USE the keyword: DDMCC07.The number will change each week. For example: this week is 07 next week is 08 etc....if you do not put the keyword in the space provided when uploading your card it will not go into the gallery.

Did you get my pm about asking understandblue?? She is the keeper of directions well at least she has had directions every time I needed help. Or I can try to explain it in a pm. I will do that but if what I say doesn't work...then go ahead and send understandblue a pm asking her. Wish me luck..lol...I'm not a very good computer teacher but I will give it my best.

I hope everyone is okay with me helping out a fellow weekly musical challenge player. Bonnie (raduse) has been hit with a big whammy well actually a double whammy. Her husband has had a stroke as well as having seizures. Bonnie herself has had a migraine for days now. I know she wanted to play this week, however, between hospitals and holidays...she really could use some stampers love. So, I wanted to give her that love by making her card for this weeks challenge. I hope noone objects. Please let me know if you have any problems with this. Bonnie is a regular and such a sweetheart I just felt I had to do something. Bonnie, I know this card is nowhere near your talents..however, I hope you will accept it as yours. And as long as noone objects your name will go in for the drawing. Hugggs girlfriend. You and your husband are in my prayers.
