SCS is so slow it's killing me!!! It has not been this slow for about four years!! I do have teenage boys who are constantly downloading stuff, so maybe it's them, but the rest of the internet seems to be working fine. If SCS is really going to be this slow, I may have to ask for a refund on my very recently renewed Fan Club subscription, because there isn't enough time in the world for me to view it!! I'll hate it if that's the case, but I really don't want to pay $25 for something I can't see!! I love SCS, and we've gone through some slow times together, but call me fast, I want this relationship to move along!

I'm sitting here with a laptop-pretty clean- and wireless- it's being speedy fast for me! 1147 pm et, with about a foot of new snow on the ground and still falling- can weather have anything to do with download time, lol??

Hi Carla,

Slow connection is aggravating! You can always try pulling the plug out or flipping the off switch on your modem/router for about 60 seconds and force your internet service provider (ISP) to make a new connection. I say this because your ISP connection makes 7 or stops from your house to the server and because the servers are located all over the country, you can have trouble with one website and not another If there's a storm in the middle of the US and a hub there is down, and your connection is going to the West Coast, you can have trouble connecting :(

Here's a site I try when it appears a website might be down:

http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com

You just go there and type the name of the site with the .com or .net etc after it, and it will check with the site, and see if it's servers are functioning.

It's tonight it's crawling for me. I've even checked my speed, which is about 2.5MB according to the speed checker utility. I think I'll have to give up trying to leave comments in the gallery and come back tomorrow.

I chuckled a bit when I read what you wrote, Carla! I've not experienced problems *today* but it has been slow, you're right. The wonderful guys behind the scenes are working on it!

I think its getting better for me. I know it's always slow on the 15th because everyone wants to see all the new brilliance happening over in the DD gallery. I just thought it was especially slow this month.

I really am suspicious about whether my TWO teenage sons are messing up my SCS time with all their complicated computer activities and equipment. I have important things to do on the internet!! I have to:

1. Post cards
2. Look at cards
3.Talk about cards
4. Read about cards

I have needs, you know!!

I'm having issues as well. Besides being slow in general, navigation is extremely difficult & will eventually just lock up all together. I can switch to any site other than SCS & have no trouble at all.
