Default What's a 'bump'????

I see the term a lot on SCS (esp. in Recipe Swaps, where it seems like I live these days). I see 'btt' (bump to top?) and other acronyms relating to it (I think). Somebody, please explain what it is, and how do you do it? Thanks much!

Default

It bumps a thread back to the top of the forum, so that it is listed at (or near) the top of the first page. By posting to a thread (or just typing btt, bump, etc.) it moves the thread to the top of the forum that it is in. I hope that helps!

Default Bumping

I am fairly new here and have seen that too. I was wondering but not so much that I stopped to ask the question. I'm glad someone else did. And thanks for the answer. I'll go back to exploring now....
