Username question
Hi. I am wondering if it is possible for you to review your 'changing username' policy. When I signed up for this forum a few days ago, the first few names I tried had already been taken. I finally tried my surname thinking that it would be only a behind-the-scenes name, a bit like a password. Oh dear, oh dear, was I wrong!
This is my first ever foray into the world of forums and I hadn't realised quite how public one's user name would be. I understand from your emails (and thanks for getting back to me so promptly when I asked about this earlier) that only if you use both first name and surname as your username can you then later change it. Would you consider changing your policy so that if surnames only are used then they can be changed? I want to be cool, and hip, and fit in, and it is hard when labeled "Parkes"!
