If I signed up for one of the special groups here, say Wish Rak, over a month ago but haven't heard anything does that mean I was denied? Wondering how long that takes. Thanks,

No, it doesn't mean that you have been denied. There were some system issues a few months ago and maybe somehow your submission was probably lost in the *crash*. Several things wer lost and not able to be retrieved, unfortunately. :(
Try resubmitting your request to join. Someone will get back to you. :-D
Nah! I don't know of any "groups" that deny members, unless you try to apply for the demo forums and aren't a SU! demo. I'd say to reapply. I do the memberships for Divine Secret Siblings. No one is ever denied, unless they have flaked out on previous rounds, but it does take me a week or so depending on what is going on in my life (or just how lazy I'm being) to get approvals done!

Hi everyone... I am a mod for wish RAK and we would have never denied anyone...could you please resend me your info (from the start here thread)? Thanks and sorry for any confusion...
I am also a Mod for Wish-RAK and we would not deny anyone access to the group. But, Wish-RAK is a SUB-forum to RAK ((Random Act of Kindness)) and you do need to request membership to that forum first.
I do know that many requests were 'lost' in the recent crash, which may be the case in your situation!! I'm sorry IF that has happened. Please submit your request again!!
FYI......also, the membership to RAK is done on a bi-monthly basis. .... Remember, we are all volunteers here at SCS and depending on Gina's (RAK mod) work schedule ((she travels extensively for work)), it sometimes doesn't always happen on the 1st and 15th of the month. But does happen close to those dates!!
Also, I do know if the member does not provide all the information requested, Gina needs to send an additional PM to gather the proper information, which in turn hinders the timing of the request. IF the information requested doesn't get to Gina in time, the membership may be postponed till the next update. So, there are truly alot of factors that come into play here.
BUT, to play it safe, please re-submit your request to RAK!!
OH, something else I thought about......have you checked to see IF you have access to the RAK forum......just in case the PM to you was lost. Sometimes the forum will just show up!!
I recently received a PM requesting enrollment into Wish-RAK and in checking she was already accepted. She just didn't scroll down far enough in the main forum thread to see it.
