Sorry I am new to computers, is the site up or down, am I not suppose to be on here now? I don't want to get in the way if your trying to upgrade. Please explain, thank you, Linda
Is anyone having trouble with the site, it keeps telling me page not available, try refresh. I do, nothing happens.
For the past few days I keep getting a site not found error when I go to the site. Even if I input www.splitcoaststampers.com, it switched automatically to Forums at Splitcoaststampers and gives the error. There is a link on the error message that I can click on, and then I am in ok. I had a friend ask if the site was down also. Is anyone else having this problem? I already tried clearing cookies.
I can only get to the forums through a link I added yesterday. I can't get to the gallery through anything even now. I wonder if it's my work computer though because my DD was able to get to the gallery right now and I can't!
50% of the time, when I navagate from one forum or thread to another I get this message...

I do refresh, and it works... but it's been happening all day!
I think they are still working on the website. Let me tell you this has been a boring day at work without SCS working right. I have actually had to do real work to make the time go by LOL :(
There's an announcement on the front page that explains what's going on. Last night they posted a message that the site would be taken down for several hours this morning in order to install a new server that could better handle the number of people visiting. No doubt they've been fine-tuning all day!

This is the first time in hours that I've made more than 2 clicks in a row without getting a database error. And the refresh thing isn't working for me. I just leave and come back in about an hour. I'm missing SCS. :(
I think they must be still working on it. I tried to upload a picture and its not letting me either times out or just sits there till i get frustrated and x out of it.
If you check out the Home page, you'll see the announcement that the site was going to be down for some time today, and also an updated message saying there are some glitches to work out. I've been a member of this site for two years, and it has been my experience that whenever maintenance needs to be done, it usually takes much longer than anticipated. That's just the way it goes sometimes. I know it is frustrating, but hang in there! Thank you Daven, Tracy, Scott and the rest of the gang for all you do for us! We luv ya! ;)
Access the site through the home page every time you come here and you will be able to see updates/the new tutorial and everything that has been added to the gallery today.
Daven also posts maintenance issues (like yesterday's down time) and other updates on the website.
Check it out!! There is a lot of good info on the homepage!

Yes I am having the same problem with the cannot get to page...error on it but there is a way to click and get in... just wanting to let them know we are still having the problem... hope they can get it ALL fixed soon...it must be frustrating to them as well...
I have been away for awhile, when I tried to get back onto the site I was not able to. Is it my computer? What's up? I have been trying for several days, and only 2 times I managed to get in (this is one of them). My DH cleared my cookies, and did other technical stuff (I'm not quite sure what). But I'm still having problems. I did see one post on one of my Google groups, that someone else was having problems also. Anyway, if someone knows what is going on, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks. I'm having withdrawals!!!! LOL!

I was having the same problem - comes up with Error 404 when I go to the main page.
Instead of going to the main page, I've been going in through my gallery, which I already had bookmarked, and then I follow the links at the top to get to forums, etc.
Seems strange, but I'm sure things will get worked out soon - I know SCS is hard at work changing a few things!
We've made some changes with the server configuration (Daven will post more info about what was done soon), and like anytime we've made changes, it sometimes takes a while for the web to catch on that we have made a change. It takes a day or two, and then it's usually back to normal. Hang in there!
