Default Scanner vs. Camera

Has anyone experimented with using both scanner and camera on their cards. I am a bit disappointed with the quality of one of my photos.

The colors look a bit "milky." In reality, they are much brighter. Do you think perhaps my scanner would do a better job?

I prefer to use the scanner and only use the camera when the card is a 3D presentation that just can't be displayed with the scanner. The primary reason is what you are describing... lighting issues.

Thank you...
I sort of guessed that was the issue. The other thing I noticed was that I got a bit of an angle (not quite a trapazoid) effect with the camera. Scanner should be easier. Now, if I can just get the scanner software to work EVERY time instead of intermittently!!!!! ..........long sigh!

I haven't uploaded any pictures to the gallery yet, but I do take photos and scan one of a kind cards that I make for others (in case I ever want to make more). I almost always use my scanner and use the scanner's "wizard" to correct the colors if they look off on the scan. I have too much of a problem getting close enough or having the right light if I try to take a photograph. The only time I take a photograph of a project is when I have a 3-D project (like a paint can) that won't work with the scanner.
