Several times now, I have uploaded pictures and put SUO in the keyword.
The one I just did today, shows up in "my" gallery, but it is not showing up in the mini/preview gallery or in the alphabetical listing. (I used Elements of Style).
The last card that I uploaded, sat in my gallery for a day or so and then disappeared. I used to upload all the time with no problems, but lately, I can't seem to find my uploads......can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?
What's happening is you're not uploading your cards to the stamp set gallery. You are choosing member gallery. The moderators are then moving your card to the correct gallery.
When you upload, scroll down in the gallery dropdown until you see the alphabetical listing of SU stamps and choose the correct one, or, if it's a mini cat set, look underneath Mini Catalogs & previews and then find the right set.
SUO is just a keyword that helps members find SU only cards - it isn't a gallery and doesn't put your card in a different place than your original upload.

hum, ok, I knew that SUO was not a gallery, that is why I put SUO in the KEY WORD..... for the other, I "thought" I chose Elements of Style.
My question now is, should I re-do this so that goes where I wanted it too, or are you guys doing the moving....lol. I really really thought I was doing like I always had in the past, but evidently I'm not???

I just went back and looked at the path I took for my upload and I did go to summer mini in the drop down, and then chose Element of Style
Your Elements of Style card that you uploaded today *is* showing up in the Elements of Style stamp set gallery, the SUO keyword gallery, your own member gallery, and in the "Recent Uploads" section of the gallery.
Sometimes it takes a little while for the gallery software to get the keyword-driven sorts in the correct places.
I'm concerned by what you said in your original post about a card disappearing from your gallery. Did you receive a PM or an email about it being deleted? If it just went *poof* without any notice, it probably had the same filename on your computer as something you've uploaded in the past, and when the gallery software did its scan for duplicate uploads it removed the more recent one.
Can you provide more information about the one that disappeared? I'll admit up front that I don't know if I'd be qualified to help you solve that problem, but perhaps Lydia or one of the more senior gallery mods can.
You're definitely doing it right, that's for sure. And she's right - keywords take longer to update than true galleries do. So it will show up in your gallery and in Elements of Style faster than in SUO.
The only time a card should be removed completely is if it's a duplicate.
Thanks, both of you for your input. The card that I was speaking of from a month or so ago, that just disappeared.....I did write in about it and I DID get a response from Beata, and she said just what you did, that I had two cards with the same name. I corrected the name of the card, but it still would not let me upload it and keep it there, so I just gave up. Now I can't even remember which card it was...lol.
I now understand about the card NOT showing up at the same time "everywhere"....that is something that I just did not realize.
Okay well if it happens again, just let me know - if it's recent I can go search and we can fix it
OK, please take a look at my Gallery, I just uploaded two different cards, but both using Vintage Vogue Stamp set. One is called Spring Garden, and the other is called Vintage for a Friend.....
in my gallery, the pictures are both of the Vintage for a Friend, but when I click on the first one, the spring Garden card shows up?????????

ok, but open Both of them up, you will then see yet another two different cards.....
One is called Spring Garden, it has the picket fence,
the other is called Vintage Friend, it just has the F for friend and the flower on it .....this is the card that shows up on the screen, for BOTH cards, correct?, but, when you click on both cards, the OTHER card, with the picket fence shows up
I checked my paths out for both cards, and each one is correct....
I promise I'm not gaslighting you but when I click them I see the picket fence card for both - they are the same card both in thumbnail view and full card view.

How weird, I just went to the gallery and clicked on the SUO and there both cards are showing up as THE BLACK card with the F and the flower, but when I click on them, then the picket fence card shows up. It also shows that I uploaded each card 10 minutes apart from each other (which is correct, so why are you and I seeing two different things.
Maybe I should just delete both cards and start over.......OR maybe delete both and quit trying to upload because it sure seems to suddenly be a hassle for me...lol...

I do not think this is what is happening to you - because at some point you saw different cards. But if it happens again, we will know.
Definitely delete these cards and upload just one card and let's see what happens. However, before you upload it - please rename it on your hard drive - make the file name 4001Evaloutest.jpg if you can.

Ok, I deleted both cards from the gallery.......
I (think) I have correctly renamed the For a Vintage Friend card...it should have what you asked me to name it.
Now, I also deleted the picket fence card (which broke my heart to do so because there were lots of favorites on "both" of them showing????, that still puzzles me.
So now should it be ok to reload the picket fence card and see what happens?
oh, oh, I am scared already, I have gotten to the part where I filled in the first steps and then it brings up the second page....the one where it says to put in a key word, well, on the left hand side of the page, where it shows a picture of the what you want upload, it is still showing the first card that I uploaded, the 4001evaloutest one.

WHOA - can you take a screen shot of that? Hit print screen and then paste it into Microsoft paint and save it? That is helpful.

ok, I will try that, I stopped because the minute I saw that, I remembered that is EXACTLY what happened the first time I tried uploading the picket fence card, but, I just thought that once I completed my upload, the real thing would be there....ok, here goes
Wow, I am not sure all of this is worth it or not, lol......having a mac, I could not just print screen but following directions, I did take a picture of the screen, I hope this helps in figuring out what is going on.....looking at the picture of what I just did, I am realizing that the card it is bringing in is actually the old old name of the card, before I even changed it today.....

I did want to add that I tried a simple test of uploading a totally different card than the picket fence one and I had no problems at all....it seems like it has something to do with trying to upload two different cards made with the same stamp set title.

What in the world is going on, last week, I had problems upload and was conversing with Lydia......
I finally got For a Vintage Friend uploaded and all has been well except for the other card Spring Garden, and she has all the info on it.
Well just now I check my gallery and Vintage Friend is GONE AGAIN, the title is there, but the photo of SPRING GARDEN is sitting there with the title of Vintage Friend...????
I totally give up uploading to this gallery.
Can you do me a favor too? Can you please put your posts in this original thread so that when I send tech support to look at the conversation it's all in one place. I moved your post in the other thread here. Maybe you can bookmark this thread until it's fixed.
We did a few things. Our dev team took your Vintage Friend card and reuploaded it while logged in under your account. There was no issue with the thumbnail, as you can see when you look at your gallery. So the issue is definitely not with your account
I edited your original photo and rebuilt the thumbnail (again) so you can see it's correct now.
So something funky is happening DURING your upload process.
The dev team suggested clearing your cache and cookies before uploading again. Give that a try and let me know what happens. They also suggested trying your uploads in a different browser, as another browser will not have any stored history from this upload in it.

Ok, but the card that is with the picket fence is still sitting there listed under Vintage Friend, yet, when I click on the card, the real Vintage Friend shows up. Plus, I had NO issues with the other two cards that I uploaded the very same day, Smooch Spritz and Punched Pansies went just fine. Also, HOW did the picket fence card just suddenly appear today, I was NOT uploading anything to my gallery.....I haven't uploaded since the day we started talking. The For a Vintage friend just disappeared, and the picket fence card was suddenly in it's place, but with all the info for the vintage friend.
Hi there, I just got finished painting on my house and washing all the windows on the outside....ok, I followed your excellent instructions, and cleared my cookies and cache.
I even went so far as to delete out both of the cards that are giving me grief. I am too tired to mess with trying to upload right now, so hopefully tomorrow, I am going to give it one more try.
Ok folks, I guess I just am not going to be able to upload these two cards. It is going to have to be one or the other because we have tried everything.
I just now upload the same two cards that have been giving us grief. As I went through the process, each step "looked" perfect. But, now when I go to my gallery to view the cards, the only one showing (to me) is the Spring Garden, but one is under the title of For a Vintage Friend.......I even cleared the Cache and Cookies BEFORE I upload the second card.
HA! This time it's because you're not a Fan Club member.. Our moderators take Sunday off (it is a day of rest! ) so they approve all Sunday's uploads on Monday. Fan Club members get instant upload privileges, so they don't see a difference on Sunday.
