Default Is printing allowed?

My memory is terrible so I tried to print the tutorials for the reflection card and the scallop border and all I got were the pictures and no words. Is this a no-no to print tutorials off of splitcoaststampers? I don't like to keep my computer on and try to follow along - it's just too difficult for me because my work space and the computer are not in the same room.

Not sure why that happened for you because I have quite often saved the tutorials to my hard disk and printed them out at a later stage.
If printing is allowed and you don't get the words with the pics then try copying and pasting into a word programme before printing.

Yes, printing is allowed as far as I know. Did you click the printable copy link?

Default printing

There wasn't a print link. I highlighted the text and then printed it or I thought I was. I looked in the area where they post directions such as for the snowflake, but there wasn't any listing there.

I have the opposite problem - I get the text but no pictures.

Hmmm, interesting. I looked at both tutorials and for me there is a print link right under Beate's (or the author's picture) highlighted in purple. I'm not too much of a techy (or is that techie?), but I wonder if it has to do w/ your settings?

I'm not sure just what you're looking at or want to print, but if it happens to be white text on a dark background, then you may have actually got it copied/pasted OK but need to turn the text to black after you've got it onto your computer...I've had that problem before...

I cut and paste on to my wordperfect, it works great. My computer is not in the same room I craft in either and if I do not have a copy (even sketches) I will run a marathone back and forth, cause my memorie is not that great .

To the right (under the author) there is a button for viewing printable text. You should have better luck printing from that HTH

As far as I know, printing is allowed. There is a link under the Authors name that says
> View a printable copy.
I noticed that all it does is add #?printable=true to the URL so from
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/.../2_5_7_10_box/
to
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...printable=true
hth. xx

hitting the print link actually triggers a different style sheet (ie slightly different formatting) that optimizes the display for printing instead of reading. it'll also call up your print dialog so that all you'll have is a single click to start it printing. if you have any problems with that method, post here in Site Suggestions and let us know.

I've been printing the tutorials for years and saving them in binders. They are such a wonderful resource. The one we had this week called Faux Bleach gave me problems when I tried to print it...received these script error messages when I did view printable copy and just attempted to print from the webpage. Not sure why that happened...never had that before?!?!?!
