CAN'T STAY LOGGED IN

Help! I can't log in from my home computer. I log in, the thanks for logging in comes up, but then reverts right back like i AM not not logged in. What happened? It has bee like this for several days. I have sent many emails for help to "contact us" but no reply. Is it a cookies problem or a setting got out of wack?
TIA,
Charlotte

Perhaps you cleared your cookies recently?

In any case, when you log in, be sure to click the little "keep me logged in" box. I'm not sure of the exact wording, but as long as you do that and don't delete your cookies, then you should remain logged in.

Default cookies

Yes
I did delete cookies a few days AGO. I do have the "keep me logged in" checked, but it doesn't seem to matter. What do I do about the cookies thing?

Yes I di delete cookies a few days ago and then the logging in problem started. I don't know what to do about it now. I have asked around but have not gotten an answer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, the box is checked to keep me logged in, but reverts back as if I never tried to log in.

Charlotte, you are currently logged in when you're posting...where are you having the login problems?

It is my home computer that I can't stay logged in even though it says I am logged in. I type in my log in ifo, it thanks me for logging in, but immediately reverts back to page as if I never logged in and will not let me go to the demo section as I normally do. I am on a laptop right now logged on. I may have done something to the cookies on my home computer a week ago. I have tried correcting that but I really don't know exactly what to do. This site and the www.webstore.com (sell stamps site) are the only 2 sites I can't log on. Logging on my bank, etc. is fine. I use IE 7. Any ideas or solutions?

Just from my own experience, when I clear cookies my firewall then prompts me on every site as to whether I want to accept cookies, want prompting or want to deny cookies. It's too easy (I know!!) to click on refuse cookies, and then no amount of clicking remember me will help. You could always just check that you do actually have cookies enabled? With IE7, it's in Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, Sites, and you can choose which sites to always allow. There's something similar in Firefox, but that's on the PC not the laptop so I can't remember exactly. But in the newer Firefox, there's a little box at the left of the address bar, and if you click on that it brings up securtity options including cookies.
It may not help you at all, but it's something that I've had problems with more than once when trying to order from a couple of sites.
