I'm having difficulty getting my photos to upload properly...some will, some will not. Last night I had a big red X on one so I changed the photo and it still showed an x, so I then deleted it and uploaded again and it worked fine. Today I uploaded one with no problem, but my next gallery upload wouldn't work (red x). Deleted it and uploaded again, but this time that didn't work either. Each time this has happened I've received the email that my photos have been approved, so I assume the photos are visable to whoever is doing the approvals, but they are not visable in the gallery. I have also changed the file name slightly each time just in case it was a problem of file name duplication, so I know that's not the issue.
Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for your help!
The file name is extremely important - they have to be unique or they will not be displayed.
Are they jpegs?
If it's intermittent, you might just be having a browser cache issue - you're caching the X before the image is approved and so you're still seeing that after it's approved because that version is cached.
Thanks for your fast response! I'm using Internet Explorer. They are jpegs, and the one today is 800 x 621, so I assume that size is not the problem? I had this problem once before and you advised me to make the file names very unique, so I've been doing that ever since. I think I'll try to clear my cache and clean up my computer and see if that helps.
Okay, that worked! I cleaned up my browser, renamed the file one more time, crossed my fingers and hit submit, and it looks like it worked! Thanks for your help!
I know I approved at least one of those. You're right, I could see it perfectly, and was puzzled to see you'd deleted it and re-uploaded it! I'm glad that you've got it sorted out now . I was nearly going to send you a PM to say that if there was a problem with the image you didn't have to delete it and then type everything in again - you can always just edit the image.
Thanks, Sabrina! You guys are always so helpful!! I had tried editing it, but it did the same thing. I'm hopeful that cleaning up my browser frequently will eliminate the problem going forward. Thanks again to both of you for your help!!
