I am having a problem with losing internet connection while on my wireless router while on SCS. I can go to other sites and click on links and change pages and all is well. Two clicks on SCS and I get the famous page--Internet Explorer can not connnect to the internet. So, I do not know what is up. I logged out of SCS and cleared all cookes--still not working right.
I downloaded Firefox and thought I was OK. Posted on a swap thread and came back to my subscriptions and lost the connection........................................ ........
I suspect its your router but I am going to ask tech support. Is there a troubleshooting process you can go through for your router? And have you tried connecting without the router and not had problems?
I have been on the phone a lot in the past day and a half with them--but since it seems to happen only on SCS (where I spend 99% of my time), I do not think it is with them. When I plug in a landline to the router, it seems to be OK--that is also the strange part.......... I did go to a coffee shop yesterday afternoon to log in and all was fine. Really Strange!
Sounds like the router can't handle the amount of info you're getting with each click here. Especially since your landline is fine.
For example, when you favorite a card, it requires an up to date flash player, and the images loading in the gallery does take some resources - all that may be more than your router is handling. They do go bad - I've been through a few in my day
hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm--it was bought in 11-2009. Think that might be it? the landline is right now plugged into the wireless, not directly into the modem. Would the result be the same?
Lydia--I wonder if some of the issues with people not being able to download files on IE had anything to do with my connection issues? On one of the swap threads that I am in that chats alot, a couple of other people mentioned issues.
Knock on wood--I have not been bounced once in the past two hours I have been on SCS! Crossing my fingers whatever your tech guys fixed help me too.
