how do I attach my photo of myself to my gallery?

I've been playing around and I don't think it's gonna happen unless I get some help.

I think you mean under your user name, not your gallery. If this is the case, it is called an Avatar. you want to go to Quick Links (above) and Edit Avatar. Then it will let you put in a picture under your username that is no larger than 80x80 pixels. If you are looking to upload to the gallery, just go to the gallery and click on Upload Photos.
