Gallery Suggestion re: Stealing Images

Since there is a problem with people "lifting" images from the gallery could you make it so there is a message at the top of the galleries that says something about the copyright laws?

Or make it so that when someone right-clicks to copy a card, a message would come up giving a warning before they can copy the card, then the 2nd time they right-click or copy the card it will work but they will have been warned? Make sense?

that still doesn't solve the problem since you can add it to your favorites then download directly to your computer....if people are going to steal an image they are going to steal it no matter how many warnings you put there...

Many people just slide them right off into a desktop folder. I do this simply so I can see my favorites if the site is down.

I agree that people are going to steal them if that is their intent but I truly believe that the majority of people that copy pictures from the gallery to use on their blog or SU! website honestly don't know that there are copyright laws that protect these photos so it would be nice to let them know about them. Just a thought

Also, I had a discussion with a few people about this over the weekend and one of them is not a "member" of SCS (so she has probably never participated in any of these discussions) but said she does come to the gallery to get pics for her website and she had no idea that it is wrong so you never know...and she knows now
