When I search in the gallery - the cards returned are not sorted by descending date -- as usual. Also, my gallery default viewing is 96 posts, but today, it goes to 12.
Wonder if anyone else is having the same problems ?

I am having this problem too. I just came here to see if it was only me.
yes similar problem here ... when I search in the gallery for a keyword .... I end up with the oldest first and the newest at the bottom of the very last page.
OK, I probably should have posted something sooner, but the new default is to search by 'relevance'. Relevance is determined by the number of times the search term shows up in each photo, and how close two words are to each other in an 'AND' situation.
Sorting by date desc should still work if you re-sort it with the options at the bottom. If you liked it the old way better, let us know in this thread.

I much preferred it so that when you entered your keyword you would get the latest updates first .... I use this option a lot to see what cards friends have posted recently as I don't always have time to check out the whole gallery.

I agree with Frances. I'd like the default sort order to be descending, as it used to be.
Please return the gallery viewing back to the old way . This new sorting system gets the new cards all mixed in with the old ones. I do not like it at all.

no, no this dosn't works correct. every sub-sort options give "false" results and mixed old and new cardss together for ONE PAGE -and than there is again RELEVANCE...
on the actual way isn't possible to get the newest first. the newest first would be the best otpion. i agree with all other gals here!
actually you don't get a complete result. for example searching for "cuttlegug". that gaves some days before over 1300 pages ... and today the limit is by 84 pages. beginning by oldest and ending by page 84 with cards from april 2007 ... :mad:
like too with other search samples ...
please go back to the old way: is trict, clean, simple and clear!!!

PLEASE, yes, go back to the old way of sorting by latest date in descending order. Like Frances, I have limited time and want to view the cards with the latest uploads.

I agree I think people are giving up posting cause it takes to long.
Please give us the old way of viewing. I'm with Frances on this one.
I've also noticed that I cannot change the display of the search results by choosing the "Thumbnail" option. It always defaults back to "Gallery" view.
I liked the old way too - I thought something was going wrong with my computer - I just entered my card in the inspiration challenge and it's not even showing up in the IC98 gallery and I listed it in the keywords - with a comma - what's up with that????

I gotta say I totally liked the old way better! Does it now also limit search results to just 1000? Seems like I should be getting many more results than a 1000 for certain keywords, stamps sets.... And when I tried reordering to newest first with the options at the bottom, that wouldn't work either.
I'm not sure if I follow what everyone else is saying but the problem I'm having is doing a search using the "*" and not having anything come up.
My example is for the VSBN preveiw pages from yesterday. When I put in OCTPREVSBN*, I get nothing, but if I replace the * with the letter for each challenge, I get the few pages already uploaded.
Sorry if this is a different issue but thought since it was gallery/search related, I would post here rather than starting a new thread
whew! Glad to know it's not me going crazy!! Can't find my card at all in the Featured stamper group for today. I too agree with going back to the old way, please. I want my card to show up with it's friends not be lonely in cyperspace (or would that be SCSspace??) :(
k, my card shows up now.. but in the middle of the group.. at this rate it'll never get comments or looked at. (I know, I know, we don't stamp for comments we stamp for ourselves but..... ;) lol)

I like the old way better too. I've also had problems when I upload. The cards go to my gallery only and not to the challenge gallery. This has been going on for several days now. I just delete the card totally and re load it. Sometimes it has taken 3-4 trys before it goes to the challenge gallery. This is time consuming and a hassle....
I vote for the old way, since I like to see the current uploads and not look through the whole gallery -- I do like the option of 96 on a page, which I always had to change manually before -- PLEASE go back to the other way of gallery order.

Oh good, it's not just me! I just tried to do a search using Papertrey and it's showing a card from June, then February, then September; even when I change to descending and last day, it doesn't show me any NEW cards which is what I want to see! I appreciate all your hard work, but I gotta vote for the old way too! Thanks for listening!

I agree with you. Posting comments has gotten so slow I've had to give it up almost totally. I don't have the time to make a career out of commenting, yet I still want to be able to do it. I was hoping it would straighten itself out.
