Default Drop-Down Gallery Menu's ?

I was reading in another thread about people having some difficulty finding a certain gallery to upload to in the drop-down gallery upload menu and I had a thought - not sure if it's worth sharing, but here it is anyway!

I find the drop-down gallery upload menu very LONG. There are a LOT of items in there and that's great, but it makes it a little difficult to find the one I want to get to not to mention the fact that it takes that much more time ...

I happen to love using a search function to find what I'm looking for quickly so I'm not wasting my time finding something and am more able to use that time in other areas. But, it doesn't seem to work in the drop-down menus. Plus, there are SO many things in that list.

I was wondering what the possibilities are to streamlining the drop down menu into a more user-friendly format? Here's a couple of ideas I had:

It could be little boxes with all the words that appear and we can check the one(s) we would like to put it in

or

would it be possible to allow us to type in the gallery that will bring up the correct wording of the gallery

or

change the look to more of a "windows" type look - you know, with the arrows on the right indicating there are subheadings?

anyway, that's my thought of the day thanks!

I could not agree with you more!!!

That software hasn't been updated in a long time, and so I'm not sure we have all the capabilities we could have, but what we have now is pretty limited.

However, we will definitely keep working that gallery interface, and this is much desired - the gallery is so important and it does need to be easy to use.

You had a pretty good thought of the day

Happy New Year!

Speaking of gallery drop-down & uploading...I'm trying to upload tonight - first time in a LONG time and the "browse" for your photo on your computer button is completely gone. There are just 5 boxes for you to type in info. I don't know how to find my file without browsing on my computer. What's up with that??

Hi Staci!

The buttons are definitely there, so for some reason your browser isn't displaying them to you. I use Firefox and I see them.

You may want to clear your cache or restart your browser and see if that helps
