Default Changed Profile Pic but not showing up??

Hi
Please help. I just used my dh photoshop and found a way to make any picture look like a rubber stamp. Way cool!! So I changed my profile pic and it shows the new pic, but when i comment it still uses the old pic. When i click on edit avatar, it still shows my old pic. What have i done wrong? I thought maybe the new pic had to be approved and because of the holiday weekend, it was taking a while?? Is that possible?
Thanks for your help.
Veronica

Your profile pic and your avatar are two separate things. You avatar pic has to be really tiny - I think the max is 80 pixels wide. So sometimes you may think you've changed it, but there's an error message telling you it's too big, and it doesn't change. Could this be the problem?

Reading your post again, I think you've just changed your profile pic. I checked your profile and the big pic on the right is your cool rubber stamp image. So you need to edit avatar. Good luck!

Default Avatar refuses to change?

I've tried repeatedly to change my Avatar. My picture is the right size ... I've tried deleting (and then I do have no avatar when I post a comment), but when I upload the other picture, it keeps reverting back to the previous one? Help.

Well, now I see my picture is correct when I posted this question, but when I post comments, it uses my old picture?

Sorry not sure - I did notice weird stuff going on in the gallery yesterday so perhaps it's playing up?

sometimes you need to clear your "cookies" from your browser to get your new avatar to show up in the gallery. I unfortunately have no idea HOW to do that, but I do know that sometimes it works. Hopefully someone else can tell us how to do it!

OH DON'T clear your cookies!!! That's a pain.

Just clear your temporary files. Do this on your browser by clicking:
Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete Files > OK.

If you want to know why the old avatar keeps showing up in the gallery (not the forums) do a search for avatar problems in this forum and you should find several threads with the reply. I don't have time to type it out now....
