Why so slow today?
 

Anybody know why SCS is so slow today? I ran a virus check just to make sure and nothing. No other site is slow for me just this one. So sad I can't check out the inkling and everybody's boxes but its just to slow and makes my blood pressure rise waiting. LOL

it's slow for me too. I'm normally patient and calm. Not so much right now!

I'm not aware of any issues at the moment but we'll keep an eye on the load times.

I was certainly having problems last night commenting in the gallery - I'd post a comment and the little circle would go round - and round - and round. In the end I'd hit refresh and the comment had posted. Looking better this morning :D.

I've also been noticing some creepy crawly load times. It happened for a while 2 days ago, then late last night it was slow as molasses. Came in to view the IC gallery this morning hoping it would be better, but it's still just inching along. Usually I don't have a problem at all, but the last 2 or 3 days, off and on, it's been very aggravating.

OMG! SO slow that I'm signing off to get something productive done!

I have gotten 1 'database error' in the past 5 minutes. I don't remember which thread I was trying to enter and if it comes up again, I will try to do a screen capture. Sure is running slow at times. Windows XP Firefox

It is slow for me, too!!! I rebooted my modem and router and PC but it's still slow! Other sites are not slow. Is there some sort of conversion going on today?

I'm seeing site slowness as well. I've reported it to the tech team.

'just got a "Database Error"...no additional info to report on it. It noted that the tech team was being made aware of a problem...

I've been checking it out and it seems to be working. I'll keep an eye on it for a while.

Thanks for watching. The gallery seems to be moving faster, but I'm still having some trouble in the forums; particularly posting. (Like 5 min. ago) Also had a terrible wait trying to upload a pic earlier today. I can't remember the last time that happened.

I also got an page load/database error message earlier today that said it was reporting it to SCS.

OMG! I'm gonna have to start casket shopping if this site continues to be so slow today! I have been doing a lot on this site today and the wait time between each thing is just AWFUL!

Things are extremely slow right now. I had to wait several minutes to get into this thread and be able to post this.

And even getting into Split Coast today - I have had to try more than once to get into the site. Glad you are on it, Wade.

Wow, things are unbelievably slow! I've never had things take this long to come up or to post. I might be up for the casket shopping as well!

Was horribly slow for me last night - I finally gave up. Is still slow this morning, but not as bad as yesterday.

Try having dial up! It is slow no matter what I do!!

Unbelievable! I was trying to keep my thoughts to myself but this is ridiculous! I don't know about anyone else but it is taking me a short eternity to load up ANYTHING on this site now. Whether it be the gallery, comments on cards, the forum, resources... it just doesn't matter. Come back Draven and Jenn...your services are greatly needed!

Please, please tell me that this isn't a sign of how things are going to be. It seems that everything is very slow, not just a few things. Can you estimate the amount of time it will take for things to run smoothly again? I'm still trusting you on the "no changes" thing!

Yep, it's painfully slow for me too. Taking forever to open anything...

I hate to say this, but I'm relieved to find that others are complaining of s..l..o..w..n..e...s...s....
I was fearful it was my "new" computer!!

Slow as it can get! I can hardly leave a comment on a card today without it taking forever and ever!

Opening the thumbnails takes forever and leaving a comment is even longer. Sure would like to see this sped up!

It is even worse today than it was yesterday. Very slow! I'm giving up for now. Too slow!

Maybe it's me, but from what I've gathered from previous comments...responses and repairs are not quickly forthcoming from the new powers-that-be. I am so sorry to see these new and unimproved changes..I used to love visiting SCS. Now its just frustrating. Really, I wouldn't have mind so much if things had gotten better when the changeover occurred and you know that old saying "if it ain't broke..." What happened? Granted, SCS had some glitches a time or two before but now this...? I've seen more problems in a shorter period of time than ever with the old SCS. And it seems to be taking longer to fix things. Is it just me? Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm glad to hear that it isn't just me. I've been having major problems loading, getting into members galleries and even just getting on to the site to begin with. The whole site is just so slow! It's been this way for the past few days.

It took me 4 tries over 15 minutes and I never could get the home page to load. The banner ads loaded just fine and as a matter of fact, they changed multiple times as I waited and waited.......................... I finally clicked forums to get here after much more waiting and waiting...................

Guess I will go play somewhere else and try again later.

It seems to have speeded up to a normal rate now - thanks for that! Hope that continues! Thanks a lot!

I think the system has been incredibly slow for 3 days now. It's not your computers; it's the site. Let's hope they get this resolved asap!

It has been really slow for me for several days. It is almost impossible to look at the gallery. I also hope it gets resolved soon.
