I am wondering if there is a problem because it keeps declining my debit/ credit and there is no reason why it should. Maybe I am doing something wrong Im not sure. Please respond SCS store person in charge thanks.
hmm, what's the message you receive when your card fails? this part of the transaction is not handled by us, obviously, cause we're not a bank :^) but maybe if there's something notable in the error message I can give you some ideas.
Ok the card expires today. I have the new card with the new expiration date. I put in the expiration date of 01/06. It says it is expired. I know that it isn't technically expires until midnight. So I enter in the new expiration date and I get this code: 10752-Transaction declined. Maybe because of the expiration date, Im not sure.
Drat, I knew that, but I still tried all different ones! I thought for sure I was on the right track with "Daven is da man", but, alas, that didn't work either. I'll save my pennies and if they're not sold out by then maybe I, too can be sporting this oh so cool SCS sweathsirt!
The mystery of the discount coupons continues.
Thanks anyway Jen for answering my lame attempt at humor.;)

I forgot, already, if all purchases for the SCS Store are via PayPal however, I do know that PayPal will not honor your debit or credit card anywhere from up to three days before the expiration date of the card you have on file. If it is PayPal, you should have received a reminder from them that your card was expiring at least a couple of weeks ago.
You need to update the info in PayPal (e.g. the new expiration date) before going in to pay. Even tho you may have a back up source, when one expires, they have no other recourse should something occur with anything you sell or purchase to "guarentee" (how do you spell that?) reimbursement to PayPal since they front the funds. If you had a bank/debit or instant transfer and a credit card fed into them, if your credit card's expiration date was nearing, they would only allow echeck payments thru your bank funds and when they flag the account - nothing goes thru.
Since it is now February 1st - maybe you have resolved the problem already but I thought I'd share what I learned when it happened to me. In my case, my cc was expiring, I got their notice, but my new cc arrived LATE and noone at the cc company "for security reasons" knew what the new date was.
I recieved my new card about a month ago, I purchased something from another site and a large SU order with this card and I didn't have problem that is why I was confused. I will wait a few more days before I try again.
Oh, I guess this means the store isn't just via PayPal. You're right about waiting a few days but I know that confused feeling and how troublesome it feels especially if you want/need to use it. Good luck.

your best option, probably, is to talk to the issuer of the card, or perhaps use a different one altogether. I'm not aware of any related problems on our end; haven't heard of similar problems from anyone else. that's probably not much help, but I wanted to at least reply to your post.
Thank you Daven. I will wait a few days and if there still a problem then I will call my bank and ask them why I am allowed to purchase things at other places online (just bought something a few minutes ago) and not here <tear>
You just leave that part blank unless you've been emailed a gift certificate code.
I was emailed an SCS gift certificate code number in December (I think).
I just tried using it toward the purchase of a pink mug & the message came
back that it is an invalid number, so it didn't subtract the certificate amount.

Any ideas or suggestions on this?
