I can no longer visit this site from work & maybe not from home. Have been getting messages with a worm & spam on my work computer. Everyday IT has to block at least 2 messages that have hacked our server and gotten into our distribution lists. Thru days of investigating, they believe it's this website. Someone may have uploaded a card/cards that was infected. If someone unwittingly downloaded the card/cards, then we are now infected. Could be the root of your server problems. Having delay problems at home too. I really want to come back to visit but you need to check the website. So long for now.... :(

I"m in total agreement! In the last two days I have recieved an email virus. I'm not sure how or where it came from, but this is very concerning.
If you need my help please let me know. ONe of the email address was: [email protected] and the subject line said registration accepted.
I've been getting a lot of emails lately with viruses blocked by my server....and the other night when I tried to get on the website it shut off my computer..... :( Hope it can be fixed soon!
this is a public forum. as any other form of public communication it's susceptible to rumors. the likelihood of a virus being embedded or spread in a jpeg file is extremely unlikely. as far as I can determine from a quick googling it's pretty much unheard of.
jpeg files are merely data files that are opened and displayed by an application. in our case, that application is your web browser. every jpeg file uploaded to our server is processed by an image editing application before it's approved and displayed on the site. any uploaded file containing executable code would be seen by this application as a corrupted file, would never survive intact the processing that takes place, and therefore would never be displayed in the gallery.
I'm reasonably certain that you're posting this information with the best intentions, but PLEASE, if you have an issue like this, report it to me personally before posting it to the entire community. spreading misinformation in this way is potentially far more damaging than the rumored virus could ever have been.
if you've got further information, or would like to put your IT people in contact with me, send an e-mail to [email protected].
I agree about the jpeg, but isn't it possible that when one emails another through the links provided it can be spread through those means and attach to address books?
I was just agreeing that I too have been getting messages and having problems. My dad works at IBM and he says it is a website that I am visiting that is causing the problem....

You should have your firewall blocker on, be running both anti-virus AND anti spammer programs just to avoid anything like this. It does not have to come from any one website, but could be masking itself as somewhere you have been. There are probably a thousand programs installed on your registry that you don't even know is watching your every move. They mask themselves as being from websites you frequent so that you don't know to erase them or avoid them. Anyone who uses the interenet - especially a continuously running DSL line should be protected or you WILL, not might be suseptible to this. After this happening to me a few times, I now use Norton Antivirus with Auto updates, Spybot with autoblocker, and Adaware SE (not Adware - it is the bad one) ~~~ AND I still have to run the scans on all three at least once a week to keep myself protected. This site has nothing to do with it most likely. Just a thought to help you....
UPDATE: I just ran my antispam programs for the heck of it (ran them 2 days ago) and they found 20 changes to my registry and 7 spyware programs - good thing I checked! - If you don;t use these programs you probably have more than you would think possible...
