Right now we are getting so much gallery traffic that it is SUPER DUPER SLOW. Until Daven & Tom get the new server online, we have to live with the problems, like duplicate uploads, slow page loading times, upload errors, the gallery not being available when so many are online, etc.
It's awesome to see all the new stuff, and I love it, but MAN! It's taking like 15-20 minutes to get 12 cards added to the recent additions! That's AFTER you've spent forever uploading the card to begin with.
Some things to try to ease the gallery pain (and don't everyone try this at once! LOL):
Browse in the middle of the night or in the morning.
Upload late evening or early morning.
If the upload thingee gets stuck, get out! It likely uploaded your card, and you'll have a duplicate if you try again, or click Submit again.
If you have dups in your gallery, don't try to delete them yourself. IF the file names are identical, we will remove them with our duplicate scan. If the file names are different (even by one letter/number), you can click EDIT under the upload, and remove it after it's approved. Usually we'll go in an manually remove these. IF we don't catch them, send me a PM, and I'll get rid of it.
I can't wait for our new server to be online, either!
