Default having trouble linking

I am having trouble linking things in my posts....I used to type in a title, highlight it, click on the globe with the paper clip and paste in the html code. Now when I do that, the box where I would paste the html looks different and it won't link to the highlighted title. Can anyone help me out?

It's working for me.....

I type my text, highlight it, click the globe icon, paste my URL, and then select OK.

the box to paste the URL should look like the attached image:

try typing this around the words that you want to click:
[ url=http://www.whaterver] words to click go here [/url]

↑ just remove the ONE space after the first bracket.

it works this way but when I try to rename it by highlighting it doesn't do anything. THis has been for 2 weeks when I noticed the pop up bos looked different. It used to be just a gret box and said enter html....now it says at the top "reply to post...splitcoaststampers" and then has like a "V" in lbue under it and then the space with http:\\

it's really annoying....

I had trouble with this today, too. Let me see if I can get it to work here. I'll edit my post in a minute and see if it works.

Kurtis Rocks!

OK, I know what I had trouble with earlier today, but it may not be your solution. I was c/p'ing the URL from a webpage, but I left the http:// in there and it was already there when I hit the globe icon.

let me see if I can work on your problem....

Ok, Denise, I get that box, too. Here is what you need to do:
  • copy the URL from the website/page you want to link
  • go to your post and click the globe thingy (technical term, I know)
  • you'll see the box you described above
  • in the space with http:// paste your URL, BUT MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE HTTP:// TWICE
  • click OK
  • then you will be taken to your post with some wording highlighted - THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO PUT YOUR WORDS THAT WILL INDICATE A LINK.
