--> In our Control Panels now, there is a section called "Networking". When you click on "Contacts & Friends", it appears we can add a "Member to your List" and also send "Friendship" requests. I've tried it a few times and nothing really happens. I've also gotten requests to be a Friend as well.
What is this all for, how do we use it??? Is there any info or threads already posted about it? I'm hoping :rolleyes: this new section can somehow be used as a "reply to all" tool when you're pm-ing with a group of people.
--> Along those same lines, under "Your Profile", "Customize Profile", there are a lot more, new options to do some customizing.
Can you share what the plan is with these or if any of them are activated yet?? :confused::confused:
yeah, we turned this stuff on a while back but kinda chose to do it quietly. if you're not hearing back on friend requests I would just guess that maybe people aren't responding? I'll send you one, let me know if you don't get it
but the friend and profile stuff is pretty similar to what you see on social networking sites like facebook. I didn't want to push it, if people choose to use it they will, if they don't they don't, no big. we *are* gonna add a profile link to the left column so that you can get there more quickly/easily.
The friends has certainly been up and working for a while. What I'd like is some way of knowing when someone has left a message on your profile page. At least with a PM it's hard to miss, but it was total luck that I found a message from someone on the profile page.
Well, this thread made me go take a look at my profile and lo and behold, there was a message that was dated Sept. 23 that I hadn't even realized was there. I agree with Sabrina, sure would appreciate some form of notification when a message is left on the profile page. I don't check my profile that often - other than my hair color, not much else changes. :rolleyes:

I got your request -- you are now an official "Friend"! ;)
When I said "nothing really happens" before, I meant that there doesn't seem to be anything you can do with these "Friends" now that they are in your list. So I'm just wondering why we would pursue "Friends" for our list?? Can we put them into groups and send one message to just that group?? That's what I was hoping it could be used for.
we don't have a way, currently, to notify people when they get a new profile message. I've had the same thing happen - a message there that I didn't notice until later. we'll have to see what we can do about that.
on the friends thing yeah, there's not a whole lot you can do with them at the moment it *does* show you who's online, and makes it easy to find or message them.
