Upload problem
 

I am trying to upload an image to my gallery and am receiving the following error:


Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11568 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/splitcoaststampers.com/httpdocs/gallery/image-inc.php on line 84


I am not sure if there is something wrong with my file or if there is some other problem going on.

you uploaded some absolutely massive files Dana, which although they should work, in practice often cause the gallery software to choke a little bit. before uploading, try processing your files with your scanner software, a paint program, photo editing software, whatever. the numbers to shoot for are 640x480 pixels max, 72 dpi, jpg format, and 70% quality. that will leave you with a file of 100k or less, making the upload process much quicker.

Sorry about that, I scanned on a different scanner and I guess the settings were different than what I am used to. I think I finally got it.

Devon, I'm getting that message again about a fatal errorand not enough memory blah blah blah, you fixed it for me last time, is everyone having the problem again?

Can't find the pictures
 

I am not a computer person so have no idea what happened. I was in the gallery looking at cards and tried to go to the next page. When the new page came up there were no picures, just a space with a small red "x" in it. That was earlier today and I just tried again and have not been able to get any pictures at all, just the red "x". Any suggestions? If you do have a fix please send it in english, not computer talk, I am really bad at computers. Thanks so much.

The little red x - just give it a bit. We have three servers, and it sometimes takes a bit for the images to go from Buhner to Boonie (or is it Bucky?).

Try refreshing the page - that has worked for me when I got a buncha red xs. :D
