Upload Directory???

Hi Lydia, if you're out there. I've been meaning to ask this for a very loooooooooong time. On the Upload an Image page, on the lower right side is this little ditty (screen shot also attached):

Extra Options Skip upload and process the files already in your upload directory

What the heck does it mean and how does it work?? I wish it did what I think it's supposed to do. I've tried to use it but it doesn't seem to do anything. And I don't seem to have an Upload Directory. Like just a minute ago, I uploaded a pic and had most of the details filled in. Then something happened and I accidentally closed the window before the second page process was thru. Now it's gone and I have to start over. I guess my thinking all along was that if this happened I could go back, click the box to process the files in my Upload Directory and finish what I started. But it doesn't work.

Any clue what this little box is for?

I love "I wish it did what I think it's supposed to do". I say that all day every day!

We don't have upload directories, so it doesn't do anything. I can see if I can remove that from the template.

Ah Ha! A "Faux Upload Directory". I love faux, but this takes it to new levels, lol.
