I uploaded a card yesterday morning, it was there, it had comments...
Today I tried to send a link to a friend and it's gone from my gallery?? What happened?

Change the name of the file to something unique to you and reupload it. Should be fine after that. If 2 SCS files have the exact same name the moderators will be forced to delete one of them. Each file must have a unique name. This happened to me. A pain, but a learning experience.
I remember reading that thread, and I've been really good about giving everything unique names :(

OK, what a dummy! I just checked and I do have a couple in there that I didn't change the file name like I usually do... Must have been sleepy.
One that is still in my gallery is my son's card, he loves to look at it and read the comments, etc. Should I be worried that it might disapear also? If so is there anything I can do at this point to fix it without losing the comments? I don't care about mine so much, but losing his would be sad.

Heidi~~~~I'm not sure about your son's card, that would be question for Jenn. You can pm her (jbalcer) and I'm sure she can help you out!
You can resave you card on your harddrive and then go to the card in the gallery and go to edit photo. You can change the picture. They will have to reapprove it but your comments should still be there.

Okay - as long as he'll be back. WHEW! This will prompt me to look at pretty samples in the gallery!

Yes! Just like has been mentioned above. Save your file as something else on your hard drive, then click on EDIT PHOTO, and resubmit for approval. Viola! You keep the comments, and your image won't disappear.

Actually. . . we aren't so much forced as subjected to the software we use. It goes through *all* of the gallery and looks for duplicates, then forcibly removes them from the site.
Protect your uploads! Give them special names so they don't disappear!
