Help with downloading PM's

I see that there is an option to download your pm's but I dont know which one to use and I dont want things to disappear if I use the wrong one!!

you know the drop down menu - download as XML - download as CSV - download as TEXT....

which one does what?? and where does it go??!!

(ok so I am not totally computer savvy please do not laugh!)

Shelley, I just tried it out using "Download as text". Basically what happens with this one is it opens the message into a new window in Notepad. There is options at the top of notepad "File Edit Format View Help" and in the File command, you can save it to anywhere on your computer. It doesn't delete it from your pm list here on scs at all. I hope this helps you. I'm glad you asked, I never noticed this feature and now I know I can use it! I would say just try it and you'll see.

I really need to clean out my pm box but I want to keep some of them so that I can refer back to them!!
