Search Feature
 

Another question.:confused: When I type in some of the words in the title of the old threads in the advanced search feature, it says that there are no matches. I am choosing "Look in titles only" and "swap forum", but it doesn't find them. I've also tried using less words, but exact words in the titles. Does the search feature not work on threads before the switch? Maybe that's the problem.

I have been playing with it. You are right-sometimes the thread you are looking for can't be "found". It's being worked on.

Denise-Do you have your defaults set to see all threads?


Go to User CP, then Edit Options, then scroll down to "Thread Display Options". In there, you will see a drop menu for 'Default Thread Age Cut Off'. It is probably on "Use Forum Default". Change it to 'Show All Threads' and then save it.

Let me know if that cures what ails your search.

I tried that and it didn't find the one I'm trying it on. The swap I'm trying to search for is "NEW AND OPEN 12x12 OHIO STATE BUCKEYES SWAP". I've tried all caps to see if it's case sensitive and I've tried just "buckeyes" to see if it would come up - but it didn't come up. I've since found it through my past posts, but I've been using this as a test thread to search with. I didn't think there would be many with those words in the title.
