with the SCS window suddenly closing? I have noticed several times the last couple of days that I click on a link (to a thread, to post, etc.) and it will give me the IE Has Stopped Responding box, then close the window.

Hey Diana - I moved this to our support forum. I haven't experienced this, but I use Firefox and chrome. We did have some slow response times today - maybe that was it...
You may have some malware on your computer. Have you run your antivirus lately or done updates?
An add-on would be something native to the browser (like a plug-in) or to a toolbar or your main programs directory.
We don't have anything on the site that would create that issue, so I'd definitely scrub your computer with AVG, or whatever your AV is.
After that, be sure that splitcoaststampers.com is designated as a safe site in both your browser and your security software. Since your login is contained in a cookie, if your cookie settings are too restrictive it will definitely cause problems.
Lydia, I have had the same issue periodically over the last couple of weeks. The screen goes black and then comes back. I have had it happen on IE and firefox. My antivirus (Norton) updates continuously, I clear the cache and run a complete scan every morning (a bit OCD here  ). After reading your response, I went in to make sure that SCS is designated as a safe site and it was on the list. It seems to happen when I am in the gallery and going from one gorgeous creation to another. It just lasts a second, doesn't happen very often but has happened at least 4 times. I just figured it was a quirk. My computer is 3 weeks old so I am still learning what makes it go and still trying to figure out Windows 7.
Is it a Dell, by chance? I have a Dell with Windows 7 and it does have that weird thing where the monitor goes black. Completely freaked me out the first time it happened.
I think it's a display setting - I will have to look later today.
It's disturbing !!
It's part of the display driver though, it's not your internet/browser/security.
It just did it. I was in the IC gallery, clicked on Bridget's Pearly Pink card - which is absolutely gorgeous, by the way - and the screen went black for about 2 seconds, then opened up again. I am on the Dell, running firefox, went into the display settings but can't figure out which setting so I am not gonna mess around with it.
