A question for a Moderator...

Hi,

I'm putting together a few quiz questions for a Mini-Convention I have organized for my downline. I was hoping you could help me with some information...

Is it possible to find out how many registered users you have currently, as of Dec 2007 or Jan 2008? I assume that means people who have a user name and password, since it would be hard to track people who visit the site without creating a user name!

Also, what year did Splitcoast begin? Is there a story behind it? (I have heard it stemmed from a group of friends who moved away from each other, but I'm not sure if that's correct...)

I appreciate your help - I am just putting together some interesting quiz questions and want to include some about this site since we use it all the time.

I'm not sure how SCS was formed.....I'll leave that to the higher ups....:mrgreen:

But, if you click on forums and scroll down to the bottom....you'll find the numbers of members......Does this help??

That does help a bit, but I have another question...

What is the difference between "Members" and "active members"??

Hi, Andra!

Active members just means how many people have visited within I can't remember how many months. Members = number of people who have registered.

You'll find some info here about the origins of the site. Check the linked article and the team page, too. Hope that helps!

Now, this is only a 'guess'.......

But, when a person signs up ((making up a SCS screen name)), they are assigned a member #. Hence, the total number of members.

Active members would be the members who frequent the site ((within the criteria SCS has set....ie...once a week, or once a month, or whatever that time frame is)). Hence, the lower number of members.

Did any of that make sense??
