Default Question about photo upload??

I am trying to upload 2 cards and when it says "preparing to process image list" then goes to the screen where you fill in the information, instead of having the picture of the card, it just has a box with a red "x" in it. What is going on??? I did not continue any further, just came here to ask.

Just push on through, and submit it for approval. Daven & Scott are tweaking the gallery settings so we can get some speed, and the red x will become your card. . . soon. I'm not sure how/why, but it takes a few minutes for it to come up as a complete image.

I'll see if Scott can explain more.

OK, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't come up in the gallery as a red x. I know I've seen a few of those, so I just wanted to check! Thanks Jenn!!

The other red x on older posts happens when the member has uploaded an image more than once, and manually deleted the duplicates. If the file name is the same, the thumbnail gets wonky.

Scott will jump in in a bit and explain!

Hello, we are currently trying our best to speed up the gallery for everyone. One of the ways we will be doing this is by splitting off the images to another server. The drawback to this method is that for a few minutes, brand new images may not yet be available on the other server. This may take up to five minutes, we're working on getting that time lower.

Anyway, I've modified it so that when you upload an image and it isn't quite ready yet on the image server, the image that is pulled up explains this.

Thanks, Scott! Have I told you lately that you are all that *and* a chocolate shake?
