Default Editing Signature

I want to add a link to "my gallery" on my signature line. All I know how to do is copy link and paste on my sig line. Most sigs show "MY GALLERY" and it takes them right to it. How do you shorten the page address link to only "My Gallery"?
I hope I have explained it well enough.....

I just learned how to do this a few weeks ago...people told me how to do it but I just didn't get it...
My problem was when I clicked on the globe it was an empty page and I couldn't type anything there...I think the whole problem was changing the A/A mode...

you can also use the "go" method for gallery linking:

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

substitute your own username to create a link to your gallery.

OK. I thought I'd be cute and edit my siggy, but now it won't change...it previews fine, but I can't get it to change when I post? Any suggestions?

Ooops...apparently instant gratification is not how the SCS system works! Now that it's been a bit, my siggy is right! Sorry for wasting time!

I just had a look at some of your older post and they have the "My Gallery" link in them. SO it looks like it has woked fine. Perhaps it's still in your cache but don't go changing anything 'cause it's all good. :-)

Thanks for your help! It looks like it's fixed now -- so I'm done playing! LOL

Thank you so much! I have been wanting to do that, too, but didn't know how. I followed your very clear directions and I think it worked

OK...I've also been trying to figure this out. I'm not sure I have enough posts for the HTML code thing to work for me. I do not see a A/a button. What should my bottom coding look like to do this??? Does this make any sense to anyone??

Jenny, the A/A button is part of the blue/gray frame that you are typing in when you edit your signature. It is on the top line where it says: Fonts, Sizes, Undo, etc. Well the A/A is the furthest one on the right of that line. Just click it and it switches the editor mode.

As a matter of fact, if you respond to this message you will see in the reply frame the A/A button is also on the top line to the extreme right. It's not really a button/box until you put your cursor over it. HTH

I don't have a blue/gray frame. I don't have fonts, sizes, undo,etc. anywhere on the signature page.

I was wondering about this as well, but not for my signature line. Some nice person here helped me with mine. It came out like I wanted, but I still don't know how to do it myself...duh!

I wonder how to use a few words to link to someone's card? For instance, like Janice (smitty2004) does in her favorite's thread each week. Many of the Challenge hostesses do this as well when linking to a card. I would like to be able post links using the stamper's and/or card's name, instead of the actual address. Can anyone tell me how to do this...and please talk to me as if I'm not smarter than a 5th grader? Thanks!

Jenny, take a look at your settings. Go to Quick Links > Edit Options. Scroll all the way down to Miscellaneous Options. In the drop-down box, choose Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing and click the Save Changes button.

Changing that setting should allow you to see all the formatting and editing icons.

TIA

OK...so I'm still lost. Where is the BB code when you upload a card? Or is there a screen that saves links to card uploads like the signature save? Thanks again.

I uploaded a screen shot in Reply #24 in this thread:
Forums at Splitcoaststampers

See Reply #26 in that thread for instructions to change your settings if you are not seeing those formatting icons.

Hope that works for you.

The A/A is overlapping and there is a red line through it. It is at the very top left corner of the edit box. The globe is a picture of the Earth with a link just at the bottom of it. When you hover over the A/A is says "Remove Text Formatting" and the Earth says "Insert Link".

It took me forever to figure it out too b/c I didn't think I had the right buttons either.
