Hi Carol~

I got this from SU! website (demo area):

"The words on the stamp are taken from a French poem by Victor Hugo, Since Flowering May. We are unable to print the English translation in its entirety because of possible copyright infringement of the translation, but you can get a sense of the mood from a few of the lines, printed below: Since flowering May calls us from the meadows, come! . . . and let the radiance of all nature bring out, like a double blossoming flower, the beauty on your brow and the love in your heart."

HTH!
Melissa

Default Script Translation

Thank you so much. I know this sounds maybe weird but I'm always afraid to use these BG stamps because I don't know what they say and I don't like using something if it might offend someone I'm giving the card to. I really appreciate you helping me out with this one. Thanks again, Carol

I solved that problem by buying a background stamp with very indistinct script. It's very pretty, but just gives the impression of handwriting. That way it doesn't matter what the occasion is.

Thanks for asking this question, Carol. I had been wondering that too! I love the French Script background and use it on all kind of cards. I was hoping it wasn't some kind of lovey dovey romantic verse that would have been totally inappropriate! So glad to put my mind at ease!
