Password issues
I am still unable to change my password. Any idea when the password issue will be fixed? Thanks.

I’ve had to change my password multiple times in the last few hours. Cause the system keep logging me off when I close the browser and when I try to login again I get the message saying incorrect info and then after the 5 tries it locks me out. Happens on my iPad and our desktop windows computer. Guess I can try leaving the browser open

The password fix will roll out with the editor upgrade on 10/26

glad I found this - I have had password issues the past 2 weeks. I do not LOG OFF but close the browser and then have to request a new password every day. Extremely frustrating.... glad to hear it'll be fixed 10/26. Another issue, even though I am sometimes able to get into the site with the new password requested in email, Most of the threads say I may not post, but not all of them say that. I can't reply to sending cards for the RAK thread.. Thanks for letting me vent... it's been a terrible month let alone year ! |

You don't have to get a new password every time - you need to hang onto the temporary password. The issue is the bug is keeping you from changing your password - so you go in there and think you're changing it, but you're not - you just need to keep using the temporary one until our update rolls out. |
Favorites button issue?

It's the end of the year (yay!) and I am readying myself for the annual CAS favorites thread. I ran into one issue that I can't seem to resolve.
One of my favorites is a lovely white card by amyk3868. The problem? A different card shows up in the thumbnail in my favorites collection. I'd like to make sure the correct thumbnail shows up because this is going into my "best of the best" annual CAS favorites thread! I'm attaching a screenshot of the two cards in Amy's gallery. They are perfectly fine there. Clicking on either one goes to the correct card. But when I favorite the white one, it puts the leafy/woodgrain one in the thumbnail in my favorites. You can see on the second screenshot of the card in my favorites gallery that the information is for the white card, but the thumbnail is the other card. Clicking on it takes me to the white card, but the thumbnail isn't right. I have deleted the favorite and re-done it, several times, in three different browsers. I have not had this issue on hundreds of other cards in my favorites folder that I have gone thru in the past couple of days. Since I first favorited this back in May, it has probably been like this ever since then. Windows 10, tested three browsers (firefox, chrome, safari) |
Hi Diane...a faint bell tinkled when I thought about this. The problem, I think, is nothing to do with the Favourites button. The problem is that she uploaded two cards with exactly the same title (stampin_up_forever_fern_stamp_with_amyk3868.jpg) on the same day.
When you upload, the gallery software adds your username and the date, but crucially, not the time. So when you click on your saved favourite, I'm not sure that it knows the difference between ...images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/gallery/28573/2020/05/14/Stampin_Up_Forever_Fern_-_Stamp_With_Amy_K_by_amyk3868.jpg? ts=1589462625 and ...images.splitcoaststampers.com/data/gallery/28573/2020/05/14/Stampin_Up_Forever_Fern_-_Stamp_With_Amy_K_by_amyk3868.jpeg?ts=1589461969 because I'm not sure that it reads the last nine digits, which is the only difference between them. AFAIK it just looks at the card name. I can't say this with 100% certainty but Lydia might be able to confirm it. It's always been a problem when people use the same name on the same day. It was a nightmare when people first started uploading from iPads and iPhones because everything was simply titled "image", and you'd get people uploading four or five different cards in one go and then wondering why they all looked the same. |

Uploading Pictures
Every time I try to upload a picture I am told that it needs to be a JPG and that is all I have. All my pictures are jpgs but I cannot upload any of them. Please, what am I doing wrong?

Are you talking about uploading to the gallery or to a forum thread? If it's the gallery, there shouldn't be a problem. Adding pictures to a post is currently not working but should be fixed soon. |

What happened to my post numbers?
I was approaching 7,000 posts and then last week when I logged in, my number of posts was under 100. This is the second time this has happened to me. I thought it was a fluke and my post numbers would be fixed the next time I logged in, but that was last week and I am still under 100. Why does this happen?

This thread in GST...What happened to my post numbers? - Splitcoaststampers - I suggested posting down here but now I see my count is way off too, and Diane says the same.

I was in the 20,000 plus post count range. Now I'm, down to 12,000 count. |
I’m wondering if old posts are being deleted? Mine are down 10,000 or more.

Yes - that fix will be in the post thanksgiving release - it's leaving out gallery comments.

compromised password.....
I cannot change my password... no matter what I try. It doesn't change it..... THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. I see others with the same issues as well.

Really glad I spotted this thread. I hadn't been on here in ages and I knew I remembered my password but it was no longer working. Then when I try to change it to something I remember it won't change. I tried to contact someone to find out what I needed to do but never got a response. I hope this issue gets resolved because half the time the new passwords that I'm given don't work either. |
