Ongoing Avatar Problem

I have had no Avatar when I comment for several days now. I've tried uploading different avatars & clearing my cache multiple times with no success.

The avatar appears on my posts & on my IC Challenge post tonight, but doesn't appear when I comment. When I right click where the picture should be and try to open in another window, it says the link is broken? (I use Google Chrome).

It's the same for me - I see other people's but not mine when I comment in the gallery.
But when I log out, I see mine!

I've noticed that when I actually am commenting, I can't see mine - but if I come back to that comment, it's there. It's like there's a delay..

Yep. Same here. I did notice when I comment and there's no avatar, if I reload the pg, it appears.

Reloading the page doesn't work for me, but when I go back later it appears.

I'm having the opposite problem. I see my avatar ok but, I'm starting to see a red "X" on some, but not all, peoples' posting in the gallery. I started to keep a list after it happened more frequently and to see if there was any rhyme or reason. So far, I can't figure out why only that some people have a red "X". The forums seem to be ok. Any ideas on why this might be happening? Is it related to problems you all are experiencing?

IE and Chrome both have image handling problems. I usually have all three browsers open during the day for troubleshooting, and I never see that in Firefox, but I do see it in the other two.

Are you on IE? Next time it happens, open the same link in Firefox and see what you see...

Lydia, I'm not absolutely certain about the details but I think my browser of choice is Verizon first and then IE second. I am *very* close to getting a new computer as this computer has given me fits and starts since day-one and now is old on top of it. If you think it is my browser, I'll just deal with it as is because I'm just not certain I should add anything to it at this point. Maybe it will clear up like the problem I had before with seeing images that looked like negatives - they just went away...or, maybe all this is because of the "blue moon" we're experiencing right now <insert music from the Twilight Zone> Thanks so much for your help - you're the best!

It's happening to me too. But I use Firefox.
