the troy bilt ad ate me. It covered my whole screen and I couldn't get out. 4 times it happened and I had to shut down to get rid of it. What is up with these ads that envelope everything on here lately?
OMG.....I just got eaten by the tractor, too. I did not even click anything. I just went to reply in a thread and the big green tractor ate me up. It took over my whole monitor. :twisted:
I had the same thing happen and I told Daven about it, but it was a Microsoft ad... I had 87 "trojans" show up on this fake scan, MY anti virus said I was fine but I cant use MY log on for the computer anymore...ITS STILL THERE....
Daven said it was my computer, but... I'm thinking not, did a scan and nothing there and I can use everyone else's log on...
That's it! That's the URL.. I'm not clicking it either. It plays this video and it takes up the whole screen...you can't do anything. My puter is clean too!
The Troy Bilt ad was on the bottom and top of the page I was just on. Did I mention how sick I am of the troy bilt ad and that I scanned my computer with 5 spyware/adware/virus/malware programs and there is nothing there.
UGH! It got me, but didn't cover my entire screen, just most of it, and there was a TroyBilt ad on the bottom of the page. I just scanned my compter for everything today and had NOTHING bad on my computer so I have no clue where this thing came from.

I got it again on a computer that is owned by a university and on their network. The same one that fills up my screen. There's a Troy Bilt ad directly above the reply box now. This has been happening for weeks.
How strange that some people have it in spades and others (like me, knock on wood...) have yet to see it! Have you tried doing a sweep for malware, rather than just virus scans? I still use Lavasoft's Ad-Aware program and rarely am bothered...
Carol and I have both run all sorts of programs. Both of our computers are clean.

I'm so glad it isn't just me! (Not that I'm glad the ad is here at all!) It happened to me twice. The first time, I called my husband over in a panic because I thought a virus had attacked our computer. I got this huge "K" that spread out to encompass the whole screen. Then I saw that it was an ad that just sort of "grew" from the ad at the bottom of the screen. If it happens again, I will try to grab the URL for you.
I've been getting it (the Troy Bilt ad, not "it" ;) ) everyday now. It's driving me nutso. Any luck on blocking this one? I see a lot of people are getting hit with it too.
I had the blasted troybilt ad on top and bottom of a page a couple of minutes ago, never had that before - everything thing was 'tanned' out as soon as I touched the mouse to the side arrow thingies! AARRRRGGGGHHH! Now it is just on the TOP of this page. Still can't capture the url.
Okay I'm sorry I said it. Troy Bilt got me again. Covered 2/3 of my screen and played that horrible little video with the happy Troy Bilt song.
Please SCS...please.....I am begging here.......hunt down the Troy Bilt and kill it....please...where does Daven live? I'll go to his house....I'll crawl there....please.....make it go away....
