Hi!
Do posts stay in the forum forever? :? Some are very dated or no longer relevant such as "Happy Easter" or "Happy Mother's Day". As the site grows these posts are just clutter that make it more difficult to find topics. Would it be possible to eliminate topics that have had no new activity for a month?

hmm, good question. we do have the ability to trim old posts, though I'd guess we'd end up disappointing as many people as we please. once a post is gone it's gone forever, and we'd certainly end up trimming something that someone would go looking for.

I think the answer will probably be found in a new forum software package that we're going to convert to. it allows for filtering based on dates, so that you can view only items posted within the last 30 days, for instance.

we would have converted to this new forum package already, but all file attachments would be lost and we want to find a solution to this before completing the conversion. it's great to see the forums here taking off, and we want to make sure it remains a comfortable place for everyone!

hey hap, we have date-based filtering already! take a look at the bottom of any forum listing for the pop-up labeled "Display posts from previous" and select whatever time period you like. does this meet your need?

Didn't notice that feature before! :? Yes, I think that would solve the problem of having to wade through ancient posts. Thanks!
