I use my camera on my phone for taking the pictures. However, when I try to upload it to the gallery from my phone it won't let me. It says file must be jpeg, png, etc. It is a jpeg picture. I can attach it to a post with no trouble, just can't upload it to my gallery. So I end up emailing the photo to my computer, saving it to the desktop and uploading it from there! Strange things happen all the time!;)
Hey Kathy - I've actually never uploaded in the gallery from my phone until today - man that screen is small
Normally that message is from a dirty cache. I use an Iphone and I had no issues. I don't know anything about Android devices - which is what you have, correct?
I just googled clearing cache on Android but you might have to do more specific googling for your device.
I'm on DH's phone while mine is charging. I tried to upload a photo from here and can't either. It says its an invalid file type and that it must be jpeg, PNG, etc. It is jpeg. Just seems funny that I can upload using the manage files to a post but not to the gallery. I will try clearing the cache tomorrow on my phone when its charged and let you know. But DH doesnt use his browser so I thought maybe it would work. I just had a thought. I'm using the browser on my phone but I do have Chrome. Maybe tomorrow I will try it on Chrome and see if that would work
Its the browser! I just tried to upload a picture in Chrome and it worked. I didn't actually go through with the upload because it was just a picture of my craft table and not a card. But it pulled the picture in and would have uploaded so I will use Chrome on my phone. Don't know why I didn't think of that before. But I've used browser since I got this phone 2 years ago! That's for helping jolt my brain!
I'll just use chrome for uploading photos. I uploaded two from there just now and it worked. It beats emailing the pictures to my computer, saving them to my desktop and uploading from there. I wouldn't mind so much but I don't always turn my computer on but had to for uploading. I can also skimp on the instructions and then edit the photos when I have the computer on to add information at a later time.
It's probably whatever the native browser on the phone is - I've had Samsung and Motorola and it's been a different native browser on both. And I've never used either of them, installing Dolphin and Chrome straight away.
