I have never had the problems that I am experiencing loading this site. I noticed that the member companies seem to be what is bogging things down. I am not technically knowledgeable at all, so I may not know what I am talking about.
But I do know that it is taking too long to get this site to load. I know that this could create a problem for not only me but others too.
If it is just a glitch, please disregard my message. But, I thought you would like to know that there may be some problems.
Yes, it's been horrible ALL day. Only SCS. I think you're right about the MC slowing things down. I hope it gets fixed as I'm losing patience and I might have to leave the computer and do something awful like clean.

I've experienced it too. I got a message to a thread that I subscribed to and it took forever to do anything. I finally tried to close it all together and the Internet Explorer thing came up that it tried to open like 30 times. What is causing this?
Same problem here and it's early so there aren't that many people online. Trying to post comments takes forever...........makes me not want to do it and I love to leave comments. What's UP?

Since I have had no problems at other times of the day even with the Member Companies on board, I don't think that is the problem. The problem seemed to have occurred during the evening hours, most likely when there were many members online.
But, I could be wrong!

Hmm... I am having the same problem. I have HSI and things usually upload instantly but the last few nights I've been waiting several minutes. Monday night I just gave up.
I too found Tuesday - and just now impossibley slow...It was okay very early on Tuesday, but by afternoon on Tuesday, I gave up trying to comment at all - or even look at more than a thumbnail. I know another member said she had tried repeatedly to upload a photo and it wouldn't upload. She too noted the site was so slow she couldn't comment. Just now I went to open the gallery -but it is so slow I gave up.
While it is nice to have the moderator tell us - oh something good is in the works, could you be more specific??? As to what date, and what is taking place to speed things up or slow things down???
Just adding my two cents worth (with inflation, probably worth about half a cent)--for me, the whole site has been incredibly slow all week. It will sometimes take as long as three minutes to go from page one to page two in the forum, or to go from a gallery page to the home page, etc. I'm sure it's being worked on. Just wanted to indicate that the problem is not limited to the other posters.
Popped in here for help also - I have a very fast internet connection and this site is usually immediate for me, like most others... but this week it has been VERY slow and sometimes the wheel keeps spinning and never loads! Both when accessing the main page for the first time AND when navigating within the site. :(
Just wanted to bump it up to get some attention. The site timed out twice before I could actually get here to post something. Has anything been done to allow for more readers without bogging down the site?
An update as to what's causing the problems would be wonderful! I know I use this site everyday as much for adult contact as for stamping info. I have been experiencing what we call the WSOD (White Screen of Death!) If we don't get the WSOD, then at times it takes minutes, literally minutes to load and/or post.
As a mod in the Wish-RAK forum, it has become very frustrating when you need to 'edit' a post.....or even worse yet the 'go advance' option....and end up after making all the necessary corrections and get the dreaded White Page of Death.....go back and find out that none of the changes took place.
I also know by comments being made by the volunteers who help update the Master List in Wish-RAK, the frustration they are going through, when they go from page to page.....only to get a time out window.....or having to wait several minutes before the page loads.
I'm sure you're working on a solution.....but, please hurry before we all go bald in pulling out our hair??.....hehe!!! We all don't want to look like Daven!! (((Daven, sorry, I just couldn't resist!!.....LOL)))
