Default How to for "quick links"

The other day I followed the directions that someone gave about Quick Links. It said go to quick links and then choose "Mark forums read:then the next time you visit, click on "New Posts". How do you undo that, if I would prefer it the original way? Thanks for anyone who can help me.

hmm, let me try and explain this one. someone else might have a better answer, we'll see.

compare it to e-mail. e-mails show up in your in-box with a little indicator to show whether they're new (un-read) or not, right? maybe the new ones show up listed in bold, or a different color, or there's a little flag, whatever.

the 'Mark Forums Read' would be the equivalent of flipping a little switch and changing all your e-mails to show *not* new. only instead of e-mails it's forum posts. it's kinda like a little reset button. there's no undo.

I use the New Posts link all the time, but I never use Mark Forums Read. someone else will have to fill you in on how they find it useful. hope that helps a little bit.
