help with picture size

I'd like to attach a picture to a post on the forums. I have resized it on my photo editing program to 640 x 454 pxls. But my computer reads it as 454 x 640, and when I try to upload it I get an error message that says I need to resize my picture because it is 454 x 640 and it needs to be 640 x 480!

This picture is in "portrait" orientation, not landscape. I don't know what else to do.

Any suggestions?

Make the vertical dimension 480 pixels or less and you'll be good to go! It can't be any taller than 480, regardless of the orientation.
