file to big

I just got a new computer and I am trying to upload to my gallery
sadly all the pictures are too big(keeps telling me the size it to large

I am not sure how I can make them smaller so it will accept on my gallery :confused:

im not super computer skilled

Oh - sorry - just saw this! We actually no longer have a file size limit so you shouldn't get that message - was it the format maybe?

How big was the photo? In both file size and pixels?

Bwahahah I'm stealing "windows hate" - my sister bought a laptop with it on it this week and is taking it back.

that is why I call it Windows hate
it gets better but it takes a lot of patience and wondering where all your stuff is
tell her not to give up
as I don't think there are too many laptops out there without it :(

Apparently HP are releasing laptops with Windows 7 again in the States because of popular demand. I'm hoping they implement it in Europe too!!

I am so glad I spotted this thread! I got an iPad last year and have been using it to photograph my projects, but SCS kept indicating that my photo files were too big. So I have not uploaded in a LONG time. I just tried it and it worked great, in fact, the process is much easier than it used to be. Well done SCS,

I have been digging through boxes and just found my disks for XP

But they eventually quit supporting it. Still my favorite and I'll keep using it until my computer dies!

I've been backing files up a little more often. Would hate to lose everything. I know what you mean. I love my xp. I have a vista computer that hardly gets used, so I will switch to that one if this one dies, but my perfect computer would be a laptop with xp!
