Default Editing Signature Line

I found a tutorial on editing the signature line in the resources. I have followed those instructions but it isn't changing (although it is saved successfully). I noted at the bottom of the tutorial a few other people are also experiencing this problem (comments are closed there). Is there a way we can get help with what we need to do in addition to the tutorial to publish our new signature?

Here is the tutorial I'm referring to so that you don't think I've not seen the right one:

What is it that you are trying to edit? I'll see if I can help.

Default Link Added

I added the link to the tutorial above so you can see what I'm trying to edit better. Thanks.

I understand you are trying to edit your signature but what on/in your signature isn't working out?

Are you getting a message when you try to save? IT's possible that you've exceeded the character/line amount and it will just kick back to the previous signature

Default Explaining Further

So here is what happened:

1. I used the tutorial to make edits to my signature - it is now totally different but a little shorter than before.

2. I checked the preview - that shows above where you save at the top. It worked wonderfully in the preview.

3. I posted a comment on a card, yet the signature was exactly as it was before I did numbers 1 and 2 above. (it is correct in this forum now)

So I guess specifically the problem is that the changes are saved on my profile, but not working when I post (after making the changes).

Hope that is clearer.

So now it looks like it kicked in (maybe it just takes time). The only missing thing that I changed that still isn't showing up is the profile image.

Thanks for trying to help - but it appears you just have a wait a while before the changes actually show up. Then they show up even in your older posts (not sure I expected it to be retroactive).

Thanks,
Audrie

What are you seeing on your siggy? I see "my blog" on purple with a link uner and "My first ibook" in purple with link under it

Not having known what you are changing I can't really give you any specific help.

If anyone knows why the profile image hasn't changed too, please let me know.

Eventually all the posts will catch up. It does take time. And the gallery update with siggy and avatars is slower than forum updates. But at least it's all worked out.

Ok. I'll go try and change the avatar again. Thank you so much for answering so quickly. Maybe on the tutorial it might be helpful to indicate that the changes are not immediate so we'll expect a delay.

BIG GRATEFUL HUGS,
Audrie
