double/triple postings of cards

:confused: I was just wondering if the person who accepts the postings of cards doesn't pay attention to how many of one card gets posted.. for instance there are serveral postings (and yes it is the same not just aa different pose either) of yum yum gum and then the caddy holder etc. etc. the list just goes on and on. This isn't the first time I have noticed this problem. It takes a long time sometimes to up load these pages and then to have it be the same thing showing two or three times seems to be a waste. Just wondering so don't take it to personally as sometimes this happens. I just thought that since I have seen it happening a lot, that maybe someone should be made aware of double and sometimes triple posting.

Since there is a regular scan for duplicates, and SOOO many images are uploaded every day, the approvers probably just quickly check whether the image is a stamped project (and not someone's vacation photos or snapshots of the kids) and listed in the correct category, and then approve it and move on to the next image. Duplicates are caught and deleted when the scan detects a file name that already exists in the gallery. Now I've never seen what the approval process is like, so I could be totally off-base here, but that's what I envision is going on.

Since there are also several people who approve pics, I'm sure at times they overlap and don't know what might be a duplicate pic that has already been approved by someone else as well.

This weekend is a VSN weekend, and many of our gallery mods take that opportunity to take a break - no approvals means they are not tethetered to the computer for hours, and can fully enjoy the weekend! I'm guilty of that, and will run the scan for duplicates soon.
