Default Disappearing notifications

Hi there. I'm having an ongoing problem with email notifications in one of my subscribed forums. While I may get an email notification for new posts for 2-3 days, especially if I've posted a reply, they drop off after that and I get nothing, even though there is at least one new post daily. The other subscription seems to work. My two subscriptions are set up for 'Instant' notifications.

Thanks.

Do you actually click through from your email and visit the thread after every notification? If you don't do that, and just read it in your email, I think it's normal not to get them. The notification emails say this : There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.
I often find that "daily" updates can work better because they will keep coming (if there's a new post on the thread) even if you haven't actually visited the thread yourself. So if it's not important to respond instantly, that's my preferred option.

Yes, I click the link in the email every time, and I visit the group that way every time I get the email. But, the notifications don't go on past 2-3 days. However, I got the notification for this reply! :-)

That's interesting. I will test that out. Normally I would say that's an email provider issue, but since you have a gmail account that's unlikely.

Hi again. My notifications were actually working reliably for quite some time, but just stopped suddenly for a week. The last notification was 24 March my time, until they resumed yesterday, 30 March my time. There are new posts in the group at least daily. It does seem odd! Did your testing come up with anything?
