Default Costs of SU items

Has anyone out there ever put a pencil to the items that SU sells as to how much each sheet of card stock cost, each tag, each eyelet, brad, etc.

Hemp 2.50 (12 yards) .21 per yard ( .1 cent per inch)

Metallic Cord 5.95 (75 yards) 8 cents per yard (1 cent inch)

Metallic Ribbon 6.25 (25 yards) 1 cent per inch

Silver Eyelets 5.95 (200) .3 each

Silver Brads 3.95 (100) .4 each

Mono Adhesive 4.25 (472 inches) 1 cent per inch

Vellum 6.50 (20 sheets) 8 1/2 x 11 (.33 each)

Confetti Card stock 7.95 (40 sheets) 8 1/2 x 11 (20 cents each)

colored card stock 4.50 (24 sheets) 8 1/2 x 11 (19 cents each)

Hemp: 12 inches used = .12
Cord: 12 inches used = .12
Eyelets : 1 used = .03
Brads: 2 used = .08
Mono: 5 inches used = .05
Vellum: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 = less then .01
Confetti: 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 = less then .01
Colored: 3 1/2 x 2 3/8 = less then .01

Total: .43 per card
Plus: 20% labor = $52 cents per tag, round to .55 per tag

sell: 10 custom tags for $5.50

But some people like to charge more then 20% mark up..they like to charge by the hour. These tags were simple...so the 20% mark up was just right for me.

Talking

This was a great question. I always wondered this but would rather spend my time making cards than doing the math.

THANKS!
