Question Changing user name

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this. Is it possible to change one's user name? If not, is the alternative to re-register?

Hi - I moved this to our support forum. We only change usernames if you've used your first + last name or your email address as your username.

We also don't allow re-registration or duplicate accounts. People engage in financial transactions on the site, so username continuity is important.

Thanks for understanding!

Thanks for the quick reply.

The reasoning makes sense.

Plus your friends might lose you if you change your name. Take it from someone who chose a silly name, it's not all that bad. You can always put your real first name in your signature line and then they will call you by that.

Kathy, I've become quite fond of your "silly name". It makes me smile when I see it, because I've always loved muscrats. They are such playful animals.

I chose my user name Bugga, because it's my "grandma" name given by my first grandson at age 2. He is now 23, and still calls me "Bugga" in his deep baritone voice.

And to Linda's point, I would be very confused if the folks I've come to know and recognize here by their user names had something different.
